Not much of an answer, more advice, if willing to tie up funds, i would back in both nrnb. Think very good price and backable ew.

....another option is 22-1 (boosted) in Hills a/r market. Seems a reasonable offer given it’s a best price 16-1 for Kim Muir (14-1 NRNB), but the risk is whether he comes over.

        • Longhouse Poet is in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham and if the ground came up soft he could go there,” explained Brassil.

“He’s a real staying chaser and the further he goes the better he’ll be. He might be another National horse (following in the hoof-prints of the stable’s Numbersixvalverde).”

He was also asked which horse he was most looking forward to at Cheltenham and he said this fella.

Loving how he's working his way through the market. Was 33/1 two weeks ago. Best priced 25/1 with B365, but mostly now 16's and 12/1 NRNB.

Of those ahead of him in the market you can confidently pull out Next Destination and Coko Beach. Highly unlikely Gordon sends 3 of his and Royal Pagaille is odds on to go Gold Cup.

That will leave 4 or 5 ahead of him in the market, and it could cut up even further.

            • I’ve cashed Dickie Diver each way at 40s for just under 100% profit.

I’ve looked ahead to the end of the month and not sure where I see him getting qualified. Anything after that is far too close to the festival especially in the ground we have at the moment

I am reliably informed that the owner has told people he's close with to back LHP for the NHC.

Looking at the market at the moment, theres a point to be made that outside of Galvin, perhaps only 3 or 4 horses shorter in the betting right now to LHP turn up on the day - Pencilfulloflead and Lord Royal are 90%, Remastered had a tough race this weekend, and with Secret Reprieve there has been no word since the Welsh national, Dickie Diver still not qualified and time running out.

There is great value to be had if you pick through the list of those you think will show up.

I'd also add that DD has no chase experience, 1 handicap run, he's an 8yo as well. He's got no chance in this race.
As the founding member of the DD fan club back at the start of this thread, and the creator of the ‘Dickie Diver - The journey to NH Chase glory’ tv series a few months back... I want it known that when he wins by 17 lengths eased down on the snaff and opens up 10/1 for next years Gold Cup that I will personally be bumping this reply just for you. Galvin who?

Edit.. that being said the issue is him not running for me. Want to see an entry in the next couple of days realistically

Would be very surprised if he isn’t out this week somewhere just to jog around and qualify.

Good shout. I really think it's worth bypassing NRNB and taking this for those that aren't on. Based on what the owners and trainers are saying, plus the form, looks very fair

He and Lord Royal are the ew bets here still, both 22/1 when boosted with Ladbrokes nrnb

There’s a race at Exeter which would have been perfect but he hasn’t been entered.

I don’t think there are any suitable races over the weekend so for me it is then too close to the festival, jaunt or not.

                              • It is starting to look more like the paddy power plate each day for DD, maybe Chantry house winning the other day has forced their hand for this
