Hello Fat Jockeys,

Surely that's just jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. Paul Nolan said he's fed up running round after Monkfish, so do you seriously expect him to want to run round behind ABP instead ? I think he was thinking of being a bigger fish without Monkfish and as Lobos advised the prize money at Fairyhouse is pretty good.

Not a bad shout at all. The GC this year looks the weakest I've ever seen. Place prize money in GC would be well worth having

Think about it if you owned him. Go to Fairyhouse, or live the dream and go for the Gold Cup? I know what I’d do.

The trainer is scared of Envoi Allen, then scared of Monkfish.

Is he likely to decide a dual Gold Cup winner is there for the taking, as well as potentiall Royal Pagaille who is close to scaring him away from the NH Chase?

I think it's being over thought though, Poyal Pagaille is odds on to go for the Gold Cup, which would leave Nolan nothing to be scared of publically here.... so this has to be the most likely destination right now?

Related Treble.... Monkfish / LE / Royal Pagaille..... the Nolan's-needs-a-winner treble?
Might as well bang Envoi Allen in as well.... 319/1

I'm with Spectre on this. If Envoi or Monkfish went GC they'd be very close to going off fav. LE would go off 2nd fav and rightly so. The GC, Boum apart, is a sham of a race ATM.

              • Anyone genuinely expecting Royal Pagaille here or is it Gold Cup bound?

If he'd go off shorter than Royal Pagaille, then what the feck is he talking about? 2nd fav in the Gold Cup, Latest Exhibition? Sit down.

I'm not engaging you any more tonight before we end up bickering on every thread.

                  • Yeah, lets run scared of all the high rated novices who have fantasy ratings (as confessed to today)
And run against half a dozen horses rated higher than them. With shitloads more experience, and have Cooper ride him too

How is Dickie Diver? And will he have a prep in the Reynoldstown with a view to qualifying for the NH Chase?

He is very well, thank you, and is going to have a run as soon as I can get the ground and right race. I don’t know if we would necessarily go for the Reynoldstown but the aim is definitely the NH Chase. He’s a maiden over fences so it’s fair to say we have work to do.

That's good news for backers....I didn't realise he was in to top priced 12/1 though!

                        • Longhouse Poet is in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham and if the ground came up soft he could go there,” explained Brassil.

“He’s a real staying chaser and the further he goes the better he’ll be. He might be another National horse (following in the hoof-prints of the stable’s Numbersixvalverde).”

Wonderful when a trainer shows that he knows what he's doing, and selects the right target for the horse.

....and 33s or 25s NRNB still available feels like a decent price at this stage and considering participation doubts surrounding a number of those ahead in the market.
