Did he say anything about more, nothing about Ultima? So possibly running ET and Galvin.

    • Just read it on RP, anybody have an opinion that ET will go NHC rather than Ultima?

        • Elliott indicated the National Hunt Chase is "on the agenda" for talented novice chaser Escaria Ten, who is unlikely to take up his engagement in the Paddy Power Warwick Castle Handicap Chase at Warwick on Saturday.

            • Maybe the thinking here re ET is that after phoning home to the McNeill family they decided if RP is going to the GC and LE is looking for a win in Ireland, then maybe the NHC for Escaria Ten iwould be the preferred option.

It doesn't sound as though this is definite but would suit me as I have ET TWAR and in a few NHC win doubles.

Although GE says he doesn't intend taking up the Warwick engagement, I presume he is still keen to find out the UK handicappers allocated mark ?

I backed him for NHC after his Thurles run - it’s hardly conclusive proof but I saw the McNeil family had ‘liked’ a tweet from a Graeme North (@jumpspacemaps) saying he was keen on Escaria for the NHC.

                • Thanks Cashew King, backed at 20s for Ultima, looks like I will have to cash out.

I would be amazed if Nicholls put ND in the NHC rather than RSA.

Yes, I’m in agreement. Nicholls and Cobden have stated the RSA in every interview I’ve heard, watched, or read.

Best prices I’ve seen for Escaria Ten in this now is 16s
with Coral & Ladbrokes (neither on Oddschecker) - but you can boost with Ladbrokes to 18s if that helps!

                        • For anyone taking NRNB for Escaria Ten here, is it not at least worth considering it for the "RSA" at 25/1 NRNB too?

Gordon already has the fav here in Galvin, if Monkfish scares them all away in the RSA, this race might be even deeper..... 2nd fav is likely to be Eklat De Rire in that race, and that horse was less than 2L ahead of Escaria Ten... so it's not like he's completely out of the conversation?

I know Gordon has mentioned this race, but it only a mention, and at 25/1 NRNB in the "RSA" it's surely worth considering?

                          • Winners prize money for NHC us ?75k. Winners Prize money for Fairyhouse Ryanair GC is ?60k. If you take into account logistics and cost of travelling then you can see why LE may stay at home for a big winners cheque.

                            • Or they could supplement LE for the Gold Cup. Some think Monkfish would win the Gold Cup (won’t run), and if that’s the case LE would go close in a week looking renewal. In open company next season he wins nothing. This season is his best chance of running a big race.
