A race probably not littered with stars but plenty of potentially nice novice chasers and handicap prospects. They all rather finished in a heap in behind and whilst I haven't looked at the times I suspect the race wasn't run to suit some of the real staying types. I won't be taking the form of the race too literally, Vanillier aside, who was clearly best of the bunch and is most definitely one for connections to look forward to.

Plus heard from a couple of good sources about Vanillier’s work with Flooring Porter in the lead up to the festival which I couldn’t ignore, or let go unannounced on here.
