id be a little dissapointed if stattler wasn't good enough to beat that field
I also hope Stattler is the benchmark

Ive got Stattler and Torygraph, and if they both get through the 48-hours decs, I wont add anything else.

Its one of the races, my antepost bets have stayed intact in, so far.......

      • Such a shame Gars de Sceaux never made this. Looks a real horse.

Agree made a note of him for staying novice chases next season.

            Yep.

One for a fence next season though. Should be a serious horse wherever he ends up.

Could tell you what they think of their entries in this race, if they can leave him at home.

              • From Jamie Codd Q&A on ATR online last night:

Who has the better chance betweem Fakiera and Torygraph in the Albert Bartlett?

I'd say Fakiera based on his form in graded races this winter - he's been doing all his best work at the finish and the extra trip is very likely to suit him.

My money is on Fakeira and I just hope Stattler is the main danger.

                    • Just re-watched last year's AB. What a banging race! 4 exception horses, any of them could of won.
shame this year's looks like a knock off shite version.

                      • Just had a look at this race as it was the only non-handicap I'd not given much thought to in the build up. In a race where the favourites look quite vulnerable, one I like against the field is Streets of Doyen and have taken him at a boosted 28/1 NRNB. He's consistently shown improvement for the step up to 3 miles this season, winning over course and distance back in October with Minella Encore and Polish in behind. He also beat Flooring Porter by 5 lengths earlier in the season (albeit in receipt of a stone in weight) and he's been fairly lightly raced since with a run over 2 miles clearly not showing him to his best; but decent ground over a trip seems to suit him well. I just think he fits the relatively experienced & older type that have traditionally fared well in this, and given I'm not blown away by anything at the head of the market he seemed overpriced.

Adrimel is another who looks to have a solid chance after winning what appeared to me to be one of the more competitive GB trials this season in the Leamington, but more keen to wait for the day with him. Fakiera is already in the book after his staying on run behind GDM & Stattler at the DRF, but probably wouldn't back him if I was starting again at this stage. I can't quite figure out what sort of race he'd appreciate most and quite concerned about his ability to stay in touch when they enter the third mile.
