Think he's ruled out the AB. Supreme still seems an option although I'd imagine it's highly unlikely.

          The ultimate pessimist?

I always thought he was the opposite, willing to throw horses in to big races, hoping for the best kind of approach?

I'm not saying you're wrong at all, I must have him completely wrong

I mean in interviews, always a pessimist. Even Upping The Ante mention it.

I did the research on this and it's VERY RARE they actually go on to win.

Is this a market where we need to be looking at horses not in the mix yet?

I know Bob Olinger is a forum horse, but let's put that aside..... are the front 3 really that unbeatable?
Forgive me if I'm wrong or have misunderstood but Gaillard Du Mesnil was 2nd over 2.5m, hope that doesn't harm your research

Haha, no you're right, I didn't fact check it was just from memory!

                  • As it stands this seems to be a pretty weak division ...... I've got Bob covered but I think we could see a win for the bookies come the festival.

                    Nothing stands out for me.

He is also a possible for the Supreme, 25/1 in both, but the Skeltons have Third Time Lucki for that
On Road to cheltenham ( latest one ) Dan Skelton say's Third time lucki to go for the supreme nov hdl Pendil.

Thanks BC that was my thinking as the Skeltons had Third Time for the Supreme My Drago was more likely for the Ballymore

He wasn't asked about My Drogo and didn't mention the horse himself. He has previously stated that Cheltenham isn't necessarily on the cards for this fella,

I am hopeful if he wins the Sidney Banks that "isn't necessarily " becomes "will run", especially given his very good course form in his racecourse debut in a bumper back in October.
Looking for something other than the "Big 3". He is available @16/1 nrnb with PP

Yep I've availed myself of some of that. If they decide to run it in the Ballymore then the trainer's comments imply that it will be because it has a major chance, not just a speculative dart, or they will presumably skip the race. It will likely face Boothill at Huntingdon if that one's recovery has gone to plan. Could be one or two other decent ones too. Win that nicely and you're sat just behind the top two in the market I'd imagine.

Bear Ghylls (already backed for the Ballymore) potentially getting 5lbs would also be a big danger if he runs at Huntingdon.
