  • Proschema any race 25s, 105 rated on the flat, 8th in kew gardens st Legar, 3rd in northumberland plate (should have won) taken well to hurdling over inadequate trips, a real stayer expect it to improve enormously when upped in trip.

It’s win on debut over fences in the Webster Cup Chase is worth a watch.
Hes not 1 i personally fancy at the highest grade.
And He had won multiple times over fences in france before coming over here.

But reasonably interesting that He'd also beaten his stable mate at the time JANIKA, 3 times comfortably.

What do you in March with a horse thats best form is over 2 miles at cheltenham ?

        And come on billy.
Douvan's just back from injury and his distance has changed every day since.
I put more detail on my antepost thread to be fair as it obviously depends on willie's other options and how the race's shape up near the day.

        • I think they are more willing to try with Douvan now than before the injuries

Everything is a bonus and you aren’t protecting an unbeaten record

          • I’d put up Allaho for the RSA 25/1 still available with hills (20/1 for CashOut), Willie thinks a lot of the horse, and supposedly schooled well over fences. Low mileage so surely any amount of improvement can come and if backs up the hype on the track will be Willies number one in the race. Form ties in very closely with Minelo Indo and is twice the price.

            • Except Minella pulled Rachel's arms out for the entire race and still pissed off up the hill whilst Allaho pretty much called it a day at the last. Someone said 4 miler for him! Not sure he'll see out the 3 miles leave alone nearly 4. JLT horse for me - if they can get him right. Watch the AB - came there swinging - found nothing when asked.

Yes he was beat but surely that reflects their respective prices? Both could improve for fences, one might more than the other but at the prices Allaho appeals a lot more to me than Minella Indo. I’m in the RSA camp for Allaho, reason being he was straight over hurdles at 3m winning that race beating minella Indo quite comfortable in a G3 after one flat race and then the 2 G1’s behind Minella Indo. Don’t see a drop in trip helping but time will tell.

Allaho had already ran over hurdles in france at listed level.

                  • In reply to HFox - at over 25/1 .....

Sam Spinner is 33/1 for the RSA

Has the best hurdles form of any horse we expect to be staying novice chasing (I don't need to fact check that fully do I, he just does)

I expect a few to progress past him though, but he's rated 7lb clear of the current fav Champ after their novice chase debuts from what I can see on the RP too

So that's my arguement for him being a decent value pick at this stage.... albeit one I know won't be particularly hard to find alternatives too

Thanks Kev, and the RSA should be the plan for him. Definitely going to be some decent prices behind Champ for this race.

                        • I’m skint at the moment but my next 2 bets AP bets are Footpad for the Gold Cup. Massive odds for horses who if fit and can prove he can last 3miles could be massive odds at 50/1

                          • Yeah, the loyalty to the jockey means I can't see them going for the National Hunt Chase and he isn't going to go for a JLT after placing in a stayers. (Unlike Faugheen)

                            • Do we think there’s any chance of Duc Des Genievres going for QMCC and A Plus Tard going for the Ryanair, if so 545/1 PP looks lovely

                              • I see no possible way for DDG to win the QMCC
