This bet is really jumping out at me but am tossing a coin if to or not. What do you guys think of it?
Tough to weigh that one up...

Chacun Pour Soi and Klassical Dream have obvious targets and are 8/1 and 6/1 for them... (62/1 win double - 15/2 to place)

Laurina will 'probably' end up in the Mares .... but you have the security of Stayers and any Novice Chase...

and Honeysuckle is probably going Novice Chasing but could end up in the Mares Hurdle (or even CH I suppose)....

As it's 15/2 to place (with a chance of the win) for just the double, I'd lean towards it not being worthwhile..... but I do like all of the horses in it?

There has been for a few years, certinaly wouldn't want to factor that into my bets for next season though.

                  • Just placed this yankee:
Benie Des Dieux - Mares 4/1
Klassical Dream - Champion Hurdle 6/1
Chacun Pour Soi - Champion Chase 8/1
Paisley Park - Stayers Hurdle 7/2

£1.50 each way Yankee for £33 on these pays £4036.93

                    • Reserve Tank (any race) Hills 14-1 (Sky 8-1)

Impressed by this horse after health issues at the start of the season (ulcers). Won both the Mersey Novice Hurdle (Lostintranslation 2nd in this last year) and at Punchestown. Chasing was mentioned by Joe Tizzard after his last race so my guess would be the JLT. Top price for that race is 16s so makes sense to play any race at 14s. Small stakes until trainer plans are made public.

Other horses of interest for the JLT would be Allaho (think he will drop back in trip next year), Samcro and maybe Birchdale (if the penny has dropped with Henderson that he's not a 3m horse).

                      • Love Reserve Tank: so, so progressive and could therefore be even better next season. Backed him for the JLT and RSA at bigger prices with 365 and will look to cash out one of those bets when a target becomes slightly clearer (if possible).

Out of interest though SC, why do you think Allaho will step back in trip next year? He looks like he travels very nicely indeed to me, and finished his 3m hurdle races strongly enough. Intrigued to hear your views.

Fingers crossed. Added this myself yesterday ... RC highlighted Paisley to go with the trixie.

Can see the monthly yankee looking similar!

                          • If Altior wins the King George do you think they will go for the Gold Cup? Personally, I think they will drop back for the QMCC but interested in others thoughts.

Yes impressive at Aintree in particular, seems a strong powerful horse so hoping the step up to fences brings out further improvement.

Regarding Allaho dropping back in trip, nothing concrete but I just wasn't that impressed with him at Cheltenham or Punchestown. In his final race he was travelling very strongly and then when push came to shove was passed by Minella Indo and almost nabbed by Carefully Selected, who was terribly outpaced in the middle of the race.

Maybe I'm being too harsh as sure he'll improve over fences, but Mullins bingo also comes into play with Next Destination due back plus the aforementioned Carefully Selected.
