Vision D’Honnour surely the Arkle horse of any of the Gigginstown Novices
The big problem with the Gigginstowns novice chasers is that the majority of them will always be 3 milers but they won’t all be good enough for the RSA. I backed VdH for the Supreme before he ran last year and after seeing him run, I never thought he was going to be an out and out 2 miler and he could well be stepped up to the JLT trip. BOD, CoF and Dallas would all be RSA candidates at this stage.

Might be a touch dangerous to assume he isnt quick, the Ballymore run was lightning, if his dip in form has been down to illness and he comes back the same, JLT would be most likely for me.

I used to feel that way but I kind of like the way the calendar builds to Cheltenham.
We still have Aintree, Sandown and Punchestown to get excited about then there’s Perth and the big Summer meetings, before you know it we’re into September and building towards the October Cheltenham meeting.
But I can see where you’re coming from

            • Samcro could potentially go to the Arkle, JLT or RSA. I'm not believing for one second this idea he's a boat of a horse, he was finding huge gears as a novice hurdler and I would go along with the fact that lung infection hampered him...even so he was a chaser built like a shit house up against nimble speed merchants and although he was beaten he most certainly held his own.

BOD, COF and DDP all look like they want further and given how talented Samcro looks they might leave him in JLT. I hope he's given a go over 2 1/2m and 3m before they make their mind up but makes sense JLT would be shorter..

              • If Samcro came out and bolted up in either the Aintree Hurdle or the Stayers Hurdle at Punchestown who’s to say they wouldn’t keep him over hurdles again and aim down the Stayers route

While missing Cheltenham, Elliott says there is "every chance Samcro could run again this season". He added: "Looking further ahead we are looking forward to when he goes chasing in the autumn."

That want to win Gold Cups and not Stayers Hurdles. I think they will go down the RSA route as they have already wasted one year with him. As they still hold him in very high regard I would have thought that they will place him where they think it best for him and would see BoD and CoF being rerouted if necessary as being far more likely than Samcro taking in the Arkle because Gigginstown have have numerous staying chasers.

                    • Interested to hear people's thoughts on KLASSICAL DREAM's future. I see a few champion hurdle mentions, do you think he will go that route?

                        Looks the thing to do.

DDS still a young horse so can see him definitely going this route before a crack at the gold cup the following year.

At this stage yes but more interested in City island...

                          • Martin Brassil has said City Island is more likely to go up in trip rather than drop back.

I know the Ballymore has been a good indicator for Champion Hurdle types in the past but I don't see it myself. Stayers or fences imo...

                            • I doubt i'l have much luck but going to request this special: Cheveley Park Stud to own 3+ winners at Cheltenham 2020. They will probably tell me to piss off but I like the idea of a bet like this because barring serious bad luck you will definitely get runners for your money, and I wouldn't be one bit surprised now they have tasted Cheltenham success if they invest even more money than they already have.

Not a bad shout good luck. It's possible we wouldn't of seen ENVOI ALLEN'S success this year if it wasn't for them wanting runners at the festival. Thats a very positive thing if betting one of their horses now.
