Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I wouldn't have minded him having a go at the £1M bonus but it looks unlikely that he'll go to Haydock and the talk is of a light campaign up to Cheltenham. Willie's are typically not ready for Down Royal and it's quite possible that he won't run until Christmas unless, like last year, he is just so fresh that he has to run somewhere. You'd have thought that they'll keep the big guns apart and Kempton probably suits him better than it does ABP. However, if ABP isn't going to Leopardstown I'd favour the Lexus.

I'm struggling to see a race since his first Champion Chase where he's run better than 175 and his Cheltenham and Sandown wins were surely below that level. Obviously no-one knows what he might have found if challenged and it can only be a personal opinion that he's on the downgrade.

      • I've kept it simple and backed Altior (4's) and CPS (12's), both on Bet365 ready with the Cashout option should it be needed.

Way I see it I'll either have a 4 time winning Cheltenham Festival winner and current highest rated chaser @ 4's and/or the potential up and coming star that is CPS @ 12's. I can't see anything else coming out of left field.

IF Altior was to absolutely destroy the King George field then I'd have to be looking at cashing him out, but ultimately I do wonder if he'll even make the KG let alone the GC.

I understand the view point that he needs to step up in trip, but how many chances do you get at completing a hat-trick of QMCC's in your life?

On breeding I wouldn't even consider a step up to 3m personally.

          3rd highest rated currently.

          Cash out option very sensible.

            • I know Band of Outlaws is a bit of a marmite horse on here, and although I'm still to be convinced he's the real deal I know plenty were impressed with his Fred Winter performance. And despite being all over Klassical Dream for the CH I'm happy to have 1.5 points E/W on BoO at 40s (joint industry best price) with 365 before the Galway Hurdle tomorrow. I'm expecting to cash out in running for a small loss if things don't look like going to plan in the race tomorrow

              • Backed BOO today for the Galway with a view to re-investing the winnings, should it happen, for him in the CH.

I can't imagine them suspending the CH market in running.... if he jumps the last in front or is looking like bolting up I'm sure you'll (I'll) be able to get on ....

Very good point....Haha! I guess I wasn't sure I'd catch it and I'm also conscious it's a quick way of getting an account flagged. That said cashing out in running is technically no different to backing in running so is a moot point.

                    • de bon coeur could well be coming over to the UK this coming season. Long Walk at Ascot a possibility.

No excuses for being beaten by Benie des Dieux in May but will be very exciting if she does come over.

I agree that will be exciting, such a top prospect. Very thought of by connections.

                          • Had a great day at our Million in mind parade. I managed to have a drink with Nicky and asked about Dickie Diver and Pentland as requested. He really didnt see Dickie Diver being a 4 miler, in fact he wasnt keen on that idea at all, so Id bet him for the RSA if I was considering betting him. Pentland hill staying over hurdles, I got the impression Nicky thinks Fusil raffles might be showing him more though even if he has yet to produce it on the track. Hope that helps.

I asked him about Champagne platinum but he didnt really say anything, I think hes not that impressed and I would think hard before betting him antepos for anything. I forgot to ask about OK Coral so apologies whoever asked about that one.
