    December Forum Yankee

    Evening all!

    Thought with the Christmas racing coming up.. now was a good time to start this thread. The 10th of the 12 yearly Yankees! Getting closer to March folks..

    So far in December, the highlights have been Allmankind and Politlogue winning in England in Grade 1s and Min and Chacun Pour Soi in Ireland putting in good performances. Of course, the main boys of the racing is to come in the week of Boxing Day to New Years Eve.

    Any names and nominations for this are always appreciated. The more the merrier.



    Whilst I’ve got you here.. thought I’d say for those who’ve not seen, I’m going to run a mock betting competition to Diamond Geezers FJ tipping competition. If you could whack your interest in this thread if you’re interested, would be appreciated. Never run a competion before but thought now was as good a time as any to add another element to DGs excellent looking comp. Thread with the rules is below.

    Right.. so this may or may not work but I thought it might be fun to add a fake betting angle to Diamond Geezers excellent tipping competition. Effectively, the competition here will be a competition where individuals must bet ?20 each week across whichever matches they choose on Diamond Geezers competition - I&#8217;ll have

    Plenty of reputations with boost or bomb over the next couple of weeks, I guess what members need do is decide whether we go with those that impressed (at less value) or go with those that failed but had excuses.
    Just a shame we couldn't get Minella Indo, Thyme Hill and PTKO in the same early yankees at the prices....

      The problem this month is do we place the bet before everything runs over the Christmas period and try to get the value or de we asses the situation after all the racing has taken place?

        Placing the bet early has never happened from memory....


        Someone could do a yankee specifically 'ante-post' for the festive period if they wanted?

            Tis a fair idea...I'm not against it - MOM's decision though

            If he wants to stick to the usual format, you could set up a festive one if you like?

                I usually wait til the end of the month tbh and access from the new info gained.

                Always worth seeing what people want to do though. Majority rules.

                          Looked to have a good schooling round last weekend and appeared to get the trip after being held up.
