Who is the best judge of a tipster?

Right.. so this may or may not work but I thought it might be fun to add a fake betting angle to Diamond Geezers excellent tipping competition.

Effectively, the competition here will be a competition where individuals must bet ?20 each week across whichever matches they choose on Diamond Geezers competition - I’ll have them priced up. There are 5 weeks of group games so that would be ?100 worth of fake bets. You’ll have a profit and loss after each week. You will also have ?10 to bet on the outcome of the group stage winner and the outright competition winner - again I’ll have priced them both up. In the knockout rounds, you’ll have ?20 per week. To win, you must participate in at least 8 rounds of the betting competition (includes outright, group stage outcomes, weekly group matches and knockout rounds).

No real money is exchanged at any point.

Rules:
1) ?20 per week to bet on the odds of the head to head.
2) The odds provided will be my own pricing up.
3) It’s all for fun - no real money. ?20 was an easy round number to work out for the fake betting purposes.
4) You can put your ?20 divided across as many matches as you wish - minimum of 2 though.
5) You can have up to 3 outright bets for the competition but all must be done before the first knockout game - each way or win must be clarified. Total of ?10 for the outright bets.
6) The overall winner will be the person who has the best profit/loss at the end of the competition.
7) You must participate in at least 8 rounds of the competition to have any chance of winning.
8) For the head to head markets, all results are settled on Diamond Geezers scoring system.
9) Any draws will be ‘void’ as my betting markets will be settled on a 2 way market basis.
10) All bets must be stated before the beginning of each round on this thread.. 1 minute before the first match of that game week begins is the cutoff time.
11) You can’t bet on your own matches or on the winner of your own group.

If you’re interested, just give a nod below for a rough idea of numbers. At least 10 would be great. Once the premise is obvious after the first week, it’ll work smoothly.

Absolutely Kev. I’ll be taking this pricing up malarkey seriously! Can’t be having half of the forum in huge profit or I’ll have had a shocker. Loads of minus scores in the offing.

I’m home for Christmas from uni now so if I’m ever going to have the time to run a forum competition, now is that chance.
