                    Musselburgh is a bizarre track, while most of Scotland is flooded with monsoons raging everywhere they somehow manage to produce good to soft ground.
                    Anyone know how ?

                        I think it has to do with being beside the sea and getting a constant breeze that drys out the ground

                          Possibly, though Yarmouth and Brighton get their fair share of deep ground and I remember the days of wading through the mud from Westernhanger station to Folkestone racecourse....
