What the programme misses in my view is a dedicated 5yo schedule, create a qualifying series with a final that carries a decent pot then these 5yo novice hurdlers aren't trained for a County from the moment they lose in a graded novice event....

He says he doesn't need the 5 runs for The County.- Currently horses must have run at least three times (chases) or four times (hurdles) to be eligible to run in non-novice handicaps at The Festival. From 2025, this will be increased to four chase and five hurdle runs.
