H and S are hurdles and steeple chase (days since run) - it's been about a year since JB ran under hurdles but will be about a month since the Arkle. By deduction, I'm assuming N is days since bumper run, which would have happened the year before.

Can an owner refuse to have a certain jockey ride their horses? And has this happened before?

This is purely in relation to Patrick, I find myself throwing the book away when I see he's jocked. It's nothing personal, I just feel he does zero homework on his rides and just wings it.

They certainly can - I do think it has happened…,just can’t recall the specific case

You don't with Willie unless you want to move stables. The remark about Patrick is just wrong as well. Apart from knowing the horses from the training ground, he will be thoroughly briefed by Willie. He also generally jogs a circuit of the course to check out the ground.

Glad to hear it's wrong, as that's how it comes across from a far

Its a shame that in my opinion he's poor enough to consider cashing out bets due to the jockey bookings.
