    thanks in advance
This made me laugh a lot.

    • Does anyone use either of the online subscriptions for the racing post?

Do you find them worth the prices?

      Essential package - 19.95 per month/199 per year Ultimate package - 34.95 per month/ 349 per year

I have used both, and to me, with the amount of research of races I do, I couldn't do without it.

Videos are key too, you get this with the Ultimate for UK and Irish racing.

The only other place to get those in decent full format, are subscribing to Racing TV (for Irish and most UK tracks) and Free via ATR (for their UK tracks shown on Sky Sports Racing).

I used to use that, but the pictures were smaller and search a bit more fiddly. But they were free.

Racing TV's pictures are better than anyone elses by far.

Racing Post's are inferior but good enough, and its great to be able to press on the video replay button when you are on that horses profile, or race result, its so quick.

Sporting life is the same tbf

You can be on the horses profile click on its last race and then watch it from there as long as you are logged in

And it can be full screened

              • Raving TV for video replays for me. It's worth every penny.

                  Agreed Spectre,

If its a matter of cost, or not needing videos much for your betting, then of course Sporting Life would be great.

But the more serious I have got on form research, very regular use of videos as part of the antepost betting strategy has been a must-have and Racing TV are a lot better than anything else.

Maybe one day Sky Sports Racing will make a bid for the Irish Racing coverage, and the best of the English racing, but until then I will stick with Racing TV as the first port of call.

Also, of course, their live coverage is better than anyones elses with so many races to watch every day through the season.

Their live stream is seconds faster than the feeds to the bookmakers sites and ITV too - which can be handy

                  • You don't need to log in to Racing TV to get the replays.

Maybe back in my youth Spectre but I prefer a bit of country and rock to the hardcore dance scene these days

Ring up saying you don't like National hunt racing but are happy to have a years sub if they reduce the payments to account for you not using it in the winter etc. I do this every year but saying i don't like the flat and you can get the top package for 20-22 a month. Having the replays all in one place is very convenient, the tracker shows entries nice and early which i like. You get all the papers they do, RP/Weekender/RFO etc all that is prob ?100+ a month albeit inflated in this day and age.
