One for the more experienced amongst us. If a bet is placed with a cash out option, and circumstances arise where it becomes clear that the race in question is no longer a target, how quickly do you have to get out before the cash out option is removed? I understand that there will be no definitive answer to this; just wondered if people had experience of getting out in time really. It is something that I’m very keen to keep on top of.

In my experience, you're lucky if you can act quick enough to cash out a bet on a big injury announcement.

Flat racing has changed massively in the last 20 years, almost as much chance a horse will have their prep in Dubai or an Kempton/Wolverhampton AW race these days...

But for the high class 2yos they will generally be just prep runs, though Aidan does tend to send his best colts straight to the race.
the derby trials will be more of a fact finding mission to see if they have a good one on their hands.Last edited by FinalFurlong91; 22 April 2021, 09:51 AM.
