    • Is that a general app Kev or does it upload to FJ. I thought your limit was just under 20 kb. I just uploaded an image to see what happened. It said uploaded but I have no idea where it went

      • It seems to have gone to another site and provides a link to it. Is that the idea? I think there is more to it than that. I want to paste the image into the post rather than create a link to it. What does creating account enable you to do?

I'm being a bit thick here

You upload the image to that site, then use the BBcode full and post it.

Haha, I'm only 33 so wouldn't claim to be an expert in love or relationships....but I'd suggest attempting to upload photos on an online horse racing forum could wait until tomorrow

                  • My turn for a dull one....
Why can’t the BHA and the Irish equivalent ?? move Cheltenham forward a week and Aintree forward two weeks and then hold Sandown finale over the first bank holiday weekend in May and Punchestown later on in May. It would give horses a further weeks rest after the DRF, the chances of better weather at Cheltenham and a horses more rest for Aintree. Why is everything so compressed in UK jumps racing?? The weather is shit for most of the winter in the UK & Ireland so why not make the most of the spring and space out the big festivals more??

That creates a two, max three, week gap between Cheltenham and Aintree which is less than the current programme...

Sorry I was proposing a month gap between Cheltenham and Aintree. Few horses run at Aintree and Sandown and if Punchestown was pushed forward a fortnight then sureky it’s better for all the big stables?

I agree the festivals give the impression of a condensed season but you won’t get too many horses doing Cheltenham, Aintree and Punch/Sandown whatever the gap, it’s as much the quality of racing and what it takes for a horse to compete at that level as it is rest/recuperation.
It’s shame more trainers don’t tackle early season meetings, there's often good money available and these races end up 3/4 runner affairs though I suspect this is because they’re all looking at getting their horses to March/April in the best possible shape...

I think the confusion is because you used the words, 'bring forward', to mean later whereas I've always taken them to mean earlier.

                            • Not really a question but seems the Oddscheck comparison of the Any Race market seems have disappeared.

                              Is this the norm?

What I also meant to mention earlier was flat programme, the week after Aintree is Guineas trials day at Newbury which are of course designed to be run 3 weeks before the Guineas themselves which are generally run 4 weeks before the Derby/Oaks, any changes would require a radical re-programming of both codes.
I know it’s frustrating but in Spring/Autumn it’s always an issue, the Chepstow October meeting isn’t even shown on TV anymore (can’t remember what flat meeting takes priority) and that’s a meeting with higher value than many NH Saturdays...
