Why did A Plus Tard carry the Cheveley Park colours today in the form of a white circle on red silks rather than a white sash? Obviously Cheveley also had Allaho in the same race, but he carried the white sash. Why wasn't the usual different cap colours enough?

I like this thread for things that annoy me, but this suits both.
I fucking hate it when people (including on here) come out with the mantra - normally associated with Willie Mullins.
"He'll go for the weakest race, or the race they're most likely to win"
No Shit Sherlock.
I mean why is this a trait for Mullins ?
Surely it's something every trainer would do on most occasions.
And the key thing is most races are not that clear till nearer the event, no matter how clever you are at working out all the permutations.

Tell that to Bradstock and coneygree. But yes I get your point in most cases trainers go for the easiest race. There's far more important things to get mad at in racing. Like what the fuck is a social stable, why do we need it and why is it on my tele.
Or why is gok wan and that bloke in a kilt mincing around Royal Ascot. boggles the mind

I agree - I shouldn't get so annoyed.
And if Charlie reads this, I swear I've only just seen your post on the Champion hurdle thread.
If Gordon succumbs to Covid19 ?
Will my 30pt bet on him to train 4 or more winners at the festival be a loser or void ?
Neither, the yard will still rack up half a dozen winners, mostly no doubt handicaps, under his name as the licensed trainer.
I used to play the jockey index’s on the spreads years ago, remember vividly flying to Dublin for work and buying Michael Hills points at Salisbury, he wasn’t well and didn’t ride but my bet ran with every useless claimer anywhere near Wiltshire getting a spare ride, think I bought at 53 and it made up 5.
Haven’t bothered with the market since...

On this. how come CDO was wearing the Paul Barber/Denman coloured silks for a few races and has no reverted back to the white, blue and red again?
