Would be a case by case, no set rule .... if the first two had won I'd probably try and get it as low as I could the night before .... I'd probably want it boxed off before SP but that may not be optimal. -
Good luck, on the fringe. I've had similar 'dilemnas'. Experience has told me to stick, rather than twist.

Not sure if it's just a tax thing. Probably a bit of love thrown in there as well. Not an uncommon scenario, fellas owning the horse, having the real interest, but declaring it in the wife's name. Pretty sure there is a tax case in Ireland believe it was Jim Bolger. Was something to do with prize money would have been taxable in Jim's name as he was a trainer and made a living from racing but for his wife it was a hobby and not taxable, this included any profits from the sale of horses.
