All antepost markets are stacked in the bookies favour really, general rule of thumb the more horses they price the bigger the overround. Personally forget the overround in APs and think of a price you are happy with for that horse don't worry about the rest of that market especially in handicaps.

Regarding when, no real right or wrong but before an intended race entry or when a horse isn't being talked about would be wise. So many try to get one priced with recency bias with eyecatching runs etc ,would be wise to avoid doing the obvious.

If a horse is not down to the start by the race Off time.

Why the fuck do we wait for them ?
While all and sundry try and persuade the ignorant animal to get there ?

What other sports do this without penalties ?

Unsure this question is quite in the spirit of this thread, but how do you get a profile picture?

I couldn't help but laugh at that . Could be a future addition to the Fez , the Running backwards to the starting line novices dash.

What’s the deal with tail wagging when whipped and why is it considered such a negative (in relation to comments on the Supreme thread following Lecales Article winning debut)?

There is a fairly long list about why a horse swishes it's tail.

This article, although not directly pointed towards the racing side of things, may help. It still applies to horses in general - Article

I was wondering that myself. Thanks for the link. I can see now why folk would have some reservations.

Excellent question, exactly what this thread is for.

I see COD has out up a link.

My basic answer would have been that it means the horse isn't responding positively to the whip (or not putting in more effort than before it was used)

If a horse wags their tail during their races they are using up unnecessary energy and not concentrating on their job, some horses flash their tail in protest hen knuckle down and get on with it, but it can never be a positive....

I can understand the argument... to my eye he did pick up the pace though? Maybe I’m blind (or looking through rose tinted glasses)

I got one, I got one!

Which races are on which days, and in which order for Cheltenham 2021 Festival?

I can't find what's officially moved to where.
