Serious question and most likely seriously stupid but can a novice hurdler who has ran 3 times and still runs a bit green lose his greeness at home before his 4th run or do horses only lose greeness on the track? Just thinking about a horse like Mighty Potter for example. Thanks

It's usually a sign that they're mentally immature. The greenness is often a combination of the noise of the commentary, and the noise and movement of the crowd, plus not really knowing what it's supposed to do when it's racing or going to win its race.
Experience is generally the cure. Going back racing a second time is usually enough, but not always. Some are just as thick as pig shit, or sometimes the complete opposite and want to know everything that's going on.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

So handicap weights are released tomorrow, firstly, does that mean they are compiled today? And if so, are they based on form up to the Sunday, so yesterday?
Just asking in the case of Rightplacerightime, who runs today, currently 130, if he wins today does he get a mandatory 5lb penalty, or will he be re-assessed? As his run falls close to the release of the weights, and I imagine they won't have too much time to assess his performance.
