Can remember years ago someone staying at the pub i worked at asked for a taxi to the train station. Taxi took him there when he turns around to the driver and said fuck i forgot to stop at the bookies to pick my winnings up (local betting shop) would you buy it off me for ?50 and you can pick up the ?80. The ticket was stamped and he shows the driver the result in the newspaper. Driver pays up goes to bookies and gets told its a losing bet mate none of them dogs won. What the bloke had done was wrote on the top copy but made sure it wasnt on the carbon copy that got stamped. Next day used a new slip to print on the carbon copy winning bets.
Some people got some balls!!!Last edited by somer1; 10 February 2022, 11:06 AM.

Just a variation on the theme above (and i dont think this specific question has been asked), but if you have a double with one ante post leg and one NRNB leg... if the NRNB leg is a NR, then the other ante post selection stands and it becomes a single, but if the ante post selection is a NR, then the bet is completely dead. Is that right?Last edited by The Tank; 10 February 2022, 06:40 PM.

A bit of a weird question but one I’ve always wondered about….. does anyone know what would happen to your betting accounts if you die? As in will they stay live for the family to withdraw? Will all accounts and antepost bets be voided?
Although I’m not planning on popping off anytime soon, there is a storm on its way and I could be taken out by a stray bin or something! Should I be leaving login details on all my accounts for my missus to access? I would hate to think I nailed a decent one and it just sat in my 365 account laying dormant for evermore!!!

I don't know but I think courts can request access to those details in the instance of death.

Thanks for the stray bin scenario.
I'll add it to the list.
There are definitely more bins these days than there used to be. Odds have increased.
Fancy my chances with the blue ones though.
