Bumpers are getting overused now, and hurdles debuts put back a year too often.
Seems to be too many defaulting to a full season of bumpers, instead of one in the autumn, to give horses a run and get used to a racecourse then straight into hurdles."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

I think I may have posted my view on this previously, but I think bumpers should be scrapped full stop.
Go and run on the flat for an education, or organise them at home.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Saxon Warrior mentioned this tool the other day. Perhaps he knows more ?

That’s right Q,
the SUBSCRIBE Box is top right of every page of a specific thread.
So if you want to SUBSCRIBE to a FJ Diary for example, go to the diary, open up a page
* for first page, just press on the Diary Name you want
* for latest page just press the small blue double right-hand arrows as usual.
Go to the top of that page, look on the right for SUBSCRIBE (in a a box), press it, and every time there is a post for that Diary, you will get a notification.
If you get too many notifications for something you don’t want, just press the box again (I think it changes from SUBSCRIBE to UNSUBSCRIBE)
You can SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE to your hearts content, and do this on any thread, too, say a Champion Hurdle thread, or a Supreme Novice Hurdle thread.
I don’t know about getting emails.
The notifications are highlighted when you log into Fat Jockey.

Thanks for all the advice. It seems that you get an email for the reasons below but not for example when someone posts on their Cheltenham diary which in a lot of cases can be time sensitive. However the quality of the content is so good I don't mind checking in regularly.

Checking in regularly is the desired outcome though
