Good point well made..he will get around 148 ? Saint Sam 138 etc ..yes a high rating ..but could he run ? hes has only this and the Triumph as an option ..since hes not a novice..Stable may well feel they have the Triumph covered. Its an option for sure in a year where one yard will likely have the two clear top rated 4yos ..

Cheveley Park manager in his phone in on At The Races only mentions the Triumph for Quixilos but does say it might be a little short for him and that he'll be better over further next season and that he's more one for the future. He reckons he'll appreciate the better ground at Cheltenham though.

Can run as many times as it wants really as long as it's still a novice that season

            • What's the benefit of 'scratching' a horse from a race a month away from it? Would a fee have to be paid to be kept entered from today?

Fees are paid at every declaration stage I believe...

                • Bit of a boring & niche one this, but has anyone ever placed a bet with a boosted/enhanced odds, only for it to appear in their Open Bets section without the odds boosted? The bet in question was with William Hill, who I know can be a bit erratic with how/whether they display your open bets. Just wondering if this is a common problem rather than worrying about whether I did select the odds boost (sure that I did).

Yep, very common issue with WH and much discussed here. I think we're still at the "we're looking into it" stage, if you can call it a stage, they clearly aren't! They assure us that the bets will be paid out at the boosted price if placed as such. I have an issue with all of my boosted bets placed before mid-October, but the returns figure takes into account the boosted price, so hopefully it wont be an issue should the rare event of me actually having a return occur...

Don't need to be a novice to compete in the Triumph (Quillixios)

                            • Can someone give me a reason why I should not euthanise my border terrier.
He is 15 yrs old, part deaf and part blind with dementia.

I've managed ok with that, but over last 2 days he has had a bad stomach
Having been sick all over himself and me yesterday as I tried in vain to carry him outside, after seeing him retching.

Today (about an hour ago) he whipped himself into shitting position before I could blink.

Then, during the mid carry panic from the living room to outside, he proceeded to pebble dash the wall and lovely antique mirror.
And obviously there was plenty on the carpet.

I think a Vote is the best way.

I propose to suffocate him in his favourite wrap around bed.

His life is in your hands.

                              Vote -

1 - Kill Paddy (it's for the best, for all concerned)

                              or

2 - Let the bastard live (his owner deserves to suffer)
