what is the best site to find a horses current rating? I've had a look for duffle coats in a few places after people mentioned he'd gone up but couldn't see on hri or bha pages

The BHA database is where I go for British ratings.

Yeah and worth adding if you click on the + to the right hand side once on a horses profile under the rating tab it dates and shows the rises/drops the hcap has given that horse.

The problem with Duffle Coat is trained in Ireland and although won twice in England, he doesn't have a British OR in the database as it is assessed on a by entry basis. HRI dont seem to have allocated a rating yet

I tend to use RPRs a fair bit these days, especially when looking at novices, so I spend a fair bit of time buried in the Racing Post and their site shows RPRs and (OR) Official Ratings on same profile page.
Different sites/appearances suit different people but you won’t go short of info you need on RP...

thanks i think I saw mention he'd been raised again due to adagios easy victory so was looking to confirm that as other have mentioned it would perhaps change his festival target.

Since the 140 provisional rating was given Adagio who finished 2nd to Duffle Coat has won at Cheltenham and gone up 6lbs. My view next entry in Britain he will be 145/146

I know you can get rises on collateral form but 6lbs would be harsh! He has the advantage of running in the country so the hcapper isn't guessing like he has to with some Irish.

I would presume Duffle Coat’s rating will be irrelevant and he’ll turn up in the Triumph. My guess is he’ll be help up well off the pace just in case they go to fast, just as he did when he beat Adagio.

What tracker is the best to use that will notify you of entries for horses you have tracked? Haven't used the Racing Post one but I assume this will do the job?

I'm sure the R.P one is fine H.T.R , i use the racing t.v one , which is very good too .

Think they all do.

I used RTV and ATR ones before, both worked fine.

Doesn't atr only notify declarations? I use irishracing.com for entries.
