      Kim muir winner

Really hope it doesnt change Column of Fire's plans. Surely too late for that?!

Ironic how an outfit renowned for staying chasers don't appear to have any up-and-coming staying chasers

It can't be taken literally, and it's a JP horse but Energumene walloped Speak Easy by almost 40 lengths.
Now Speak Easy is by no means a horse high up on the list of noivce chasers but he does tie in with some fairly decent types. Ronald Pump, Captain CJ, Carefully Selected, Pencilfulloflead. Well beaten by of those named, but nowhere near the 40L. Fitness, ground, distance wouldn't have been to blame either really.

And I have to say when he tore off at the start on Friday there was a shade of the UDS about him which I loved, purely from a reminiscent point of view. i don't expect im to be anywhere near as good...at all.

Patrick and Paul both love him. Not sure how far he'll go but he impressed me more than I thought he would. Not necessarily for the festival but i'll definitely be keeping an eye on his next run
5 possible entries for Mullins in the Arkle trial at Leopardstown with the unexpected exclusion of Unexcepted.
I think it's noticeable that PP go very short on Energumene in the race at 5/4.
Clear shortest price of the Mullins runners with Franco de Port at 6/1 and Blackbow at 7/1 though I fully expect 2 or 3 to run.
As above I was surprisingly impressed on his chase debut. And you'd have to think he will run here.
Still 20/1 with B365. And for me that's a bet given he is so short for one of the key trials.

There’s going to be some pace on at the front end of the race with himself, Allmankind & Felix Desjy going hammer & tongs. I’ve been mulling over backing Energumene myself for the Arkle but the worry of throats being cut is putting me off.

I’ll probably back him anyway but it’s just making me think twice...

Can we have a third competition for write ups too?
                Mine vs....

He's definitely a horse who I think is win or bust, given his run style. And like you say the potential for several going too hard at the front.

                    knew you'd read it.
Could not ever compete with a Jono bet write up , so rarely attempt it, prefer the more cryptic approach

                    • Not going to lie that was a huge blow for me tonight with Easywork. Have maybe reacted overly cautious but cashed out Elixar and unexpected bets, where more of cover for Arkle/Marsh. But Means not backing against Shiskin and Envoi as much!

Paddypower have really been on the ball this season, and I'm maybe going to have to be very careful here on out, not going to be much value left anyway after Christmas then nrnb just around the corner.

2 good things to come in and fuck the bookies right in the ass! The war isn't over yet you bunch of see you next Tuesdays!

Back to the drawing board with RSA????

An excellent angle in my opinion.

                        I've backed that blindly.

                        • Sigh, I was hoping he'd be routed to the Marsh route as Townend was hinting a push towards that. Guess Mullins is going to get his way. I won't back him for the Arkle as I have him well backed for the Marsh.

                          • He is also entered at Limerick on 26th in 2m4 Faugheen Nov Chase so he has options. Although I think they'd be keen to see if he can deliver over 2m now to inform festival plans.

I have one that's not even quoted - can you please request a price for him Lobos, in return for my 'hard' work?

Lock's Corner has lots of positives.

Good second over hurdles behind Honest Vic @ Cheltenham over 3m. Cheltenham experience, tick
Won on chase debut and jumped well. Good start to chasing, tick
Entered up over 3m at Leopardstown over xmas. Get him qualified, tick
                              He's rated 134 and is 6 going 7. I hope he'll hit low 140's, sort of tick
Owned by JP. Tends to aim at least one at the race, owner tick
Gold Well is his sire. Massive fucking staying tick.

A lot to like IMO, and I doubt he'd be quoted shorter than 33's. Get to work Lobos........
Lock's Corner now entered in the NH Chase. 40/1 with Skybet.

Lovely price. Just need the declaration now and I'll join you. About time Jonjo and JP won this race again. Fabulous record in it.
