Yesterday, I had someone disagreeing and feeling the need to use phrases like 'stupid' and 'nonsense' in relation to an opinion and now this total overreaction. Coincidence?

Sorry, for not being part of the comedy club.

As for your faux depression, I am sure you will recover.

Is this the sort of thing that will encourage people to join the forum? The idea that you have to make the 'right sort of posts' otherwise it might traumatise the regulars.

I am happy for you to disagree with anything I write, but if you feel the need to go down the personal route again then I will just ignore it. It should have no place on here.

I actually said the other day that I was posting more often because I was enjoying the forum more. Perhaps I need to reconsider.

    Great to hear.

Commenting that someone is regularly spewing bitterness and negativity is not so much personal as simply stating a Fact. It was certainly not meant as a personal attack, and was just a gentle encouragement to lighten up a little.

And I agree that if this behaviour (negativity and general mardiness) was repeated by all and sundry, day after day, then this would certainly not encourage people to join the forum.

And there's nothing wrong with someone having the opinion that what you've written is stupid or nonsense, as this can then be debated and hopefully lead to some mutual understanding. Just because you may be offended, it doesn't mean you're right.

You would be invited to the comedy club, but I'd be worried your Tutting and Sighing would drown out the jokes.

And if the gentle comment I made has upset you so much, then maybe you need to reconsider.

Not sure what you mean about the "Coincidence ?" part ? - Maybe some introspection is required.

    • I was just on a zoom preview for the Leopardstown Christmas festival where Patrick Mullins was on the panel. Asked him about Elixir D'ainay's well being. He's had a setback & definitely won't be out for Christmas. He didn't want to be drawn into whether he'd be fit for March just that he's definitely out of the Leopardstown Grade 1 2m Novice Chase. Said the usual party piece of he jumps well however!

Cheers for the update I've cashed out what I could. How many novice chase winners haven't made there debut before Xmas?

Yeah I've left my 50/1 ticket on the off chance he makes a quick recovery & cashed the rest that are 33/1. He's still 25/1 so can reback if he gets an entry.

Not many but Cilaos Emery only made his debut in a beginner chase in late January before missing the festival - he went into the top three or four in the betting from memory for the arkle.
Duc des geneivres came third in the same race and went on to win the arkle. He'd only started his season in mid december too.

I've cashed one of my bets on Elixir though as it's less likely he turns up for obvious reasons. And can re back if he gets entered up in late January.

            • Thanks for the heads up Sean.

I've cashed the bet at 33/1 but left him in the bets at bigger prices. If it only minor then there's every chance he can still make it.

              Any word on Klassical Dream?

He didn't mention him when discussing their good novice chasers anyway FM.

                • There could be a chance that they keep ED back for next season if they can't get him in the track soon so took 270 on the exchange for the Champion Hurdle. A bit of a wild one and was actually hoping for a bigger price

Nice price Could very much see this too. Though I wonder with Epatante and Saint Roi could they look to exploit his mark of 149 in the County or Coral Cup?
I've absolutely no doubt he's better than that mark

great stuff, this is an example of some really important news to people coming off this forum. I definitely think stuff like this should be in a members only section though? If lurkers associated with bookies get onto this quick it may f**k alot of us?

Regarding the novices rating, what did the P next to their name mean?? Is it something obvious??

                        • Anyone have any thoughts on whether Jonjo O'Neil will have a runner in the 4 miler? And if so....who ? His record in the race is superb yet he's not had a runner in it since Minella Rocco won.

Fair point. Problem is though how would we know if a member was associated with the bookies?
