...the beauty of that offer is that there is no dependency on either winning at 2021 Festival.

I got ?20 on straight away before market being suspended.

Considering William Hill offering Envoi to win Marsh 2021, gold cup for 2022, Shishkin Arkle 2021 and champion chase 2022 for.......100/1, it’s an absolute steal.

You’re getting 14 & 16 on those horses, perfectly acceptable, even this far out, considering they’re sitting at 7/4 and 2/1 now for their respective races in a few months and a by Christmas both might only be touching a shade over evens.

225/1 on that double could, potentially, be quite lovely in less than 18 months time.

He's never won the Champion Chase either. It's amazing given the number of good horses he's had.

          They must like your custom
When i said debating i should of been more specific but for a fun bet i shouldn't of even cared tbf.
Comparing prices vs another bookie doesn't prove a great deal and any plenty of bets in 3figures could be quite lovely in 6 months time lol
The 14s about Shishkin i can't argue as his jumping looks great already and the division will be without Altior next season and another year older Chacun. Envoi despite what plenty say 16/1 this far out for a GC is at push fair and i use that loosely, toughest race to win and plenty of potentially good staying chasers about in another 12 months you would think.

          • Obviously true, but a bullseye nets 10k if the two best horses in training fulfil their potential. I’m happy to sit on that for 18 months keeping warm in my sky bet account.

Best two horses in training..... are not Envoi Allen and Shishkin.

              Not literally.

They're arguably the best two novice chasers in training

                • Tizzard also had news of the exciting The Big Breakaway, who is already being spoken of as a Gold Cup horse of the future and will run at Exeter next Friday.

Tizzard said: "He's going back in trip [2m3f] at Exeter before the the Kauto Star or the Dipper – most likely the former.

"We want to get another run into him as we don't want to get to March lacking experience and now is the time to do it. Next year he'll be in the big league, whatever happens, so we want to make sure he's got the experience."

Well that screams RSA not 4-miler

                  • What's people's opinions on Energumene this year? I've heard whispers about him with a long time and could have backed at 50s+ but didn't, but I keep hearing he's a bit of a forgotten but highly regarded horse at Willies. Looked the business on his win the other day and Paul seemed thrilled by him. People think he'll even go to the festival? Willie would look to have a stacked enough Arkle selection so could he be aimed at the Marsh? 25s for both races atm, I have no fancy in the Marsh yet to go against Envoi, so wouldn't mind hearing people's take on the horse. From the eye I think 2 might be his job for now. Paul said he'd like to go back in trip whereas Willie said he'd be able to go up in trip.

I don't expect him to be Willie's first string in any race he would turn up in.

I think he'll have a better horse (shorter priced horse) in the Arkle, Marsh, RSA or NH Chase.

His price now, for me, is too short with the target unknown, to gamble on, and although I haven't checked the any race price, I'd guess it's 20/1 or shorter and that wouldn't be of interest.

Better judges than me are a fan of the horse, however his price would stop me giving a shit about him at the moment... I think I'd be able to still get a price on him on the day of the race if I needed to. Shorter than now, but the guesswork alone puts me off him.

I know scooby likes the horse though....or he did before last season...so can't imagine he's been put off since...

                      • Monkfish, Diol Ker and Sams Profile all declared for the Jim Ryan Chase at Fairyhouse.

Was one of the races Carefully Selected took part in before heading to the NHC at the festival.

....12-1 in Hills a/r market, Energumene is an example of the value in the ‘win today & at the festival’ offers when it was put up at 50-1 a/r ahead of its recent win.

Something I’ll be remembering next year, rather than take early dips in a/r markets.

I like the horse. Hoping he is Marsh bound (have only backed for that race) but given how he travels he could easily drop in trip. I personally don't think he will go up in trip as he seemed to jump more like a 2 miler than a 3 miler at Gorwan. That is just how it looked to my eye and is of course based on only 1 run over fences.

Simon Rowlands did a good piece which included him earlier in the week. Worth a read...

Sectional timing expert Simon Rowlands outlines why a potential star was born at Gowran Park and looks Imperial Aura’s Ascot win from a striding perspective.

                              • Currently contemplating cashing out both bets on Dickie Diver for the NHC and RSA

He was mentioned in the stable tour and still no sign of an entry I just don’t want to lose points on horses I don’t need to be on at this stage if that makes sense? If he’s entered somewhere soon then I’m sure I can back again as the price isn’t going anywhere I wouldn’t have thought.

JackieMoon33 is it you that likes Dickie Diver? How have you played him so far? Apologies if not couldn’t remember who was quite a fan of his.

P.S Galopin Des Champs cashout was gone quickly soon as Mullins mentioned going up in trip, although he had had a race they didn’t mess about suspending Cashout.
