I’m banking on him not just running for second against Envoi Allen. I think he’ll show the greater improvement for fences of the pair but he obviously starts from a lower base. I have a feeling both will be running in the GC next season too. He’ll still have it all to do to beat Envoi but I’d like to think it would be closer than over hurdles.

I wonder what the chances are they try him over 3 miles this season? If he's very good but not quite up to Envoi Allen's standard could they look to avoid him and aim for the RSA instead?

        I wouldn't rule it out.

Can't wait to see his debut over fences.

They’ve said he’ll get three miles in time so that could certainly be this season if that’s what he needs. I still think he’s more likely to stick to the intermediate trip this season but I’d say both Chantry and Envoi will take a shot at 3 miles outside of Cheltenham this season or early next.

I am really excited about Chantry House as a chaser. I think he'll go all the way to the top.

            • Anyone sitting on big AP tickets on Unexcepted and Felix Desjy are currently in position A for the Arkle. With Shiskin not having jumped a twig in public yet, those two should be joint favourites . Shiskin at 9/4 is a crazy price. Let's hope he lives up to all the hype and expectation.

You can't seriously believe they should be shorter in the betting than Shishkin. That's crazy talk Lobos

                • I ended up rushing and backing Asterion furlong any race at 16/1, after seeing yesterday I can't really see at cheltenham even though they mentioned they will try left-handed. Can anyone convince me I've not wasted a couple of points

At least they're tryring him left handed....

It's not ideal, but not a loser yet

Yeah, had noted this a while back.

I know PTP form should be taken with a pinch of salt most times but Chantry House was ahead of Monkfish before unseating 3 out, in the PTP Monkfish eventually won.

Of course, who knows what would have happened that day had CH not unseated but it certainly planted an idea in my mind about the potential of him going RSA this season.

                      • I’m always wary of backing a horse having it’s chase debut at Cheltenham. Tizzard is slowly getting the winners in again but that would be my concern today.

Agree. For me its a sit back and watch race, no interest in backing TBB at odds on. Dangerous game wading into debut novices on soft ground over 3m at Cheltenham. I really hope he puts it all together though. I hope he turns into an RSA horse so I really want him to be winning today and doing it impressively

He jumped reasonably straight most of the way round tbf

but those last two fences when he got racing properly he swerved enormously to the right before jumping

It really isn't though is it if you think about it logically??

                              • Pop goes that bubble then.

In all fairness though it could be that he was out again so quickly, which did surprise me anyhow.

A knock for the Bartlett form?
