  • The Big Breakaway is entered up again on Sunday at Cheltenham over 3m. Nice to see him get another entry although Tizzard is still in a rut with regards to his form. I'm also not sure they'll find any softer ground either as they pulled him from Newbury on the account of that.

Tizzard did have one winner the other day and an impressive one it was too. Oscar Elite won a 2m3f maiden hurdle (20l) at Chepstow and he looked liked he'd only joined the race in the home straight. I doubt he beat much and the ground was heavy, but it was very likeable nonetheless and he's in the notebook now given that he's likely to prefer better ground.

    • PTKO any race at 12s with Sky will do given both options. PP are half that

Hi lads - flat season over so I'm out of hibernation. I really liked EASYWORK the other day and at 33/1 I think that's fair. Especially when you see horses like If The Cap Fits at 20's and Next Destination at 25's. A lot of those above him will go elsewhere and the others who have been out haven't blown me away. I do fear Monkfish, mind you.

Agree, can't quite believe 365 pushed him out from 25s to 33s after winning a race and encouraging comments about distance after the race. Very odd.

It took us a little while to work her out, but she has won her last two chases, including a Grade 3 race at Punchestown last time. She will be entered in the Arkle Trial and in the Craddockstown Chase, so she could run in one of those, or we might just wait until Leopardstown at Christmas.

I'm assuming the Arkle trial is this weekend at Cheltenham ?? Would make sense to bring her over as company for Kettle. Also they won it last year with a filly so that must be on their mind.

Yes, she is entered in the Arkle Trial this week at Cheltenham and also has an entry in Ireland.
She is rated 4lb behind where PTKO was when she came to Cheltenham and won the Arkle Trial last November.

The race in Ireland, The Craddockstown, sees Felix Desjy 5/4 take on Darver Star 6/4. Could have a big impact on Arkle betting that. Would imagine Zarkareva would have an easier task getting a stone ! From Fusils Raffles than taking on those 2. I'm warming to her.

David Jennings said on Upping The Ante that out of all the horses Willie mentioned (100+) in his stable tour Unexpected was the one he was waxing lyrical about. Anything DJ says should be taken with a pinch of salt but interesting nonetheless

Who is giving a betting show there Lobos? Interesting that Darver entered here over 2ml and not entered in the Drinmore over 2 1/2 ml

                        • sporting john debuts at exeter tomorrow in a sneaky good beginners chase with fiddlerontheroof.

given he was 2nd fav in ballymore i think he's underpriced at 40s for marsh as an ew bet. I cant see any target mentioned by hobbs but at that price I'm happy to take a chance ahead of tomoorow

What he should have said was "We put a tongue tie on her and it has made all the difference"

She bolted up the first day and won handy enough the last day in the end. I think she would be even better over further. Very hard to know where she could end up. She would be a lot bigger price at the weekend if it wasn't for PTKO last year. I'm hoping she drifts

                              • Just catching up on some of the weekend racing. Was initially very disappointed that If The Cap Fits didn't win at the weekend especially getting the weight. Pym is a good horse when hes in a small field and gets his way upfront. His beating of Imperial Aura looks very good now. How Jacob doesn't switch ITCF to the other side ill never know. He jumped well apart from one or 2 which he was put off by Pym i reckon. Cheltenham form would be a slight doubt but for me he is still a big player.

Delighted Lord Royal is going chasing. Was very surprised Simon Rowlands and a few others thought he would be staying over hurdles. Looks made for chasing.
