Janidil
6g Indian Daffodil - Janidouce
John P McManus
22/1115-
RPR 150h OR 149h
He goes novice chasing and he could be smart enough to go down the Arkle route. I know he ran in the Albert Bartlett, but he did all his winning prior to that over two miles.

Why are people so convinced Easywork will avoid Envoi Allen and go RSA or Arkle?
He ran against Envoi Allen in the Ballymore... perfectly good run, came 2nd... the most logical race for Envoi Allen is the Marsh, so why isn't it for Easywork?
"He won't beat Envoi Allen" - well not on hurdles form, but that doesn't mean he'll be better over 2m or 3m, if Easyworks optimum looks like the intermediate trip, surely he's running there?
I have backed Easywork for the RSA, and the related double with Envoi Allen, but surely we're trying to be a bit too clever in ruling out the most obvious target for him?

Willie presumably thinks the AB experiment backfired.
I'm still convinced he doesn't have the raw pace to be a top two-mile chaser.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up in the Brown Advisory - novices have won the last four.
I'm also on board TWAR.
But maybe JP will have other ideas when Janidil doesn't cut the mustard as an Arkle contender.
It's gonna be fun finding out.

Stamina not speed won him today's race which was on very deep ground.
So I don't think it's possible for anyone to say whether his best trip will be Marsh or RSA at this stage.
I'm on for the RSA and if he goes Marsh I can't back him to beat Envoi Allen. I'm not very excited by the TWAR odds either.
So reckon it's a case of sit back and hope for the best.

I've never got the love shown to Janidil. He's more likely a handicap plot than any form of G1 winning chaser.
His best hurdles run was in the Bartlett, IMO, his 2m stuff is OK, but it is handicap level, and that's it.

With Aba and Fury Road staying hurdling, its quite possible Easywork is Gigg's best novice chaser and Gordons second best after EA. Felix Desjy is perhaps the only horse you could say is a genuine Arkle horse for them but Im not convinced he's in Easyworks's class.
For me Easywork is Gordons second best novice chaser so I cant see him running his two best against each other... which was also the case with EA and Aba last season.

I’ve had a little interest on that double.

You can’t back him for the RSA, it’s like not highlighted, dimmed his name out although still there. Can back Marsh.
Edit - they have reinstated him at 33/1 for RSA. That will explain the loss on cashout but bit confusing as to why after winning.
