      • Janidil "He goes novice chasing and he could be smart enough to go down the Arkle route. I know he ran in the Albert Bartlett, but he did all his winning prior to that over two miles"
hopefilly that's enough for you lunatics to dispel this NH chase idea

With Aione staying over hurdles and now Janidil dropping back in trip, Patrick is left with The Big Getaway as his 4 mile horse. Simples.

                • William hill have Envoi Allen to win the drinmore and flogas novice chases priced at 5/2! I think thats a great price!

                  • Yeah, Lord Royal and Five O'clock could also fit the 4 mile bill. Of the two I'd say Lord Royal would be the more likely. Still think Patrick will forget to enter TBG in the RSA though

Thank you Vatour, I also got to cash out and put full stake including profit on Elimay for the Mares Chase

The stable and connections are giving all the right noises about Five O Clock anyway, will be an interesting one this season. Since day one they have viewed him as a chaser

....definitely want Lord Royal on-side. Simon Rowlands (ATR) suggested him as one for the Stayers Hurdle, so if Mullins is sending him over fences I imagine there’s a specific target. Next entry will be informative.

A really nice type to be going novice chasing with. His method of jumping and the speed he has means we will start him over two miles. He was far too keen when we tried him over two miles six at Leopardstown. I think we'll keep him between two and two and half miles. He's an easier ride over that trip. He's a tough ride for a jockey.

I bagged Five O’Clock a long way back fortunately so I’m glad that one is still live. Managed to cash Aione out so no damage done and even made a small profit on him.

Firstly I’m a non-backer which I’m sure influences my view. I’m not sure he said he was their number 1 or what else he would say considering his impressive seasonal debut. I’m sure they hope he could be be their Arkle horse but considering a couple of the potential big guns haven’t been out yet I wouldn’t read too much into that comment just yet.
