Watch the run in the Ballymore. Then watch him today over 2m. I’d be hugely surprised if they go to 3m with him, looks to have a real mix of speed and stamina.
He’s slammed Unexcepted in his novice hurdle year and got the closest to Envoi.
I’d keep him to 2m till he loses. The jumping test and tough finish to the Arkle looks perfect to my eyes. And if he’s beaten in the meantime then go up in trip? What else at the highest level do they have at 2m, perhaps Felix?

It'll be leopardstown over 2m 1f at Christmas that Notebook won.
Or if he's intent on a trip, the Faugheen Novice at Limerick over xmas over 2m 3f.
Personally hope he turns up at leopardstown as I think he has the speed and stamina for 2 miles.
The same stable/owner took Delta Work through the Drinmore 2M4F in 3 weeks, and then the Neville Hotels Grade 1 over 3M at Christmas, before a break (too long?) before a close third in the RSA.
Its easier with the Novice route, to run in a ‘winners of one’ if they want to miss Envoi Allen, then onto the 3-Miler at Christmas."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

I'd say those that fancy him for the longer races are more likely to get a run for your money.
But I personally wouldn't fancy him as much in the RSA, at this stage anyway.
But he is a horse I like for anything he runs in.

Even though it works out best for the tickets i'm holding if he goes for the RSA, i'm starting to think it's the least likely option, markets seem to think the same too, still easy to get 25's after todays run. Marsh would be an easy choice were it not for Envoi, wonder if there's a temptation just to go for it anyway?! Makes by far the most sense for the horse himself.
He has only ran above the short trip twice, and beat Unexcepted by 22 lengths over the mid-trip, then led Envoi Allen over the last in the Ballymore before stating on strongly enough, to pull away from The Big Getaway, which was unbelievable given how much he pulled for a lot of the race.
Those two runs are 7lb to 10lb better than any of his three runs over 2M according to Racing Post Ratings.
Pleased to see he relaxed more today, the slower rhythm that 50% more obstacles gives to chasing didn’t trouble him, and add the 7lb to 10lb on for stepping back out in trip again, then we hopefully have a 3M beast, to complete the set (with Shishkin and EA). - and still at a massive price"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

I’ve thought since the Ballymore that Easy Work would be aimed at the Marsh (JLT....I respect the sponsor way after their deal ends ) . I can’t think of any other Giggsintown horses that are better than him at this distance from hurdle form and so far what we’ve seen this season. Gordon will know how competitive he can be with Envoi but he gave him a solid race in Ballymore and the Marsh looks ideal. I’ve mainly backed him for the AB but I look to get some money on him for the Marsh now.

Klassical D
I suppose you could say he's something of a forgotten horse. He disappointed me last season, but he goes chasing now and I see him as an Arkle contender. If he doesn't prove himself to be that, we can go up in trip with him.
