This is the race that Champ debuted in last season.
Is it not the same race Native River ran in on route to his 2nd in the 4 miler ??

    • Interesting to see Allmankind entered in the same novice chase as Quel Destin on Friday. Not one I’d considered for the novice chases before this point.

I mentioned it a few pages back but it got hidden by Envoi Allen’s race. It’s a tough debut for him and Tizzard is still operating at 3% which is very concerning. He does like Newbury though for his good ones as Lostintranslation started out there too.

          • I’m looking forward to seeing Enrilo race again at Exeter tomorrow. His race over 3miles looks a good race. I hope he does enough to win this time and comes on from having his pants pulled down by The Mighty Don LTO at Chepstow. I thought Enrilo jumped and travelled well but didn’t have enough to see it out. He’s currently 50/1 for the RSA at present but only with Hills and Unibet so there’s no cash out option which is annoying as I’m tempted to add him to my encyclopaedic list of RSA horses I already have but really don’t want to get lumbered with another Ask For Glory!!

Hitman also entered in this for Nicholls...sure people on here will have a much better grip on how the form of his French runs has worked out but visually he looked exciting and certainly one ill be keeping an eye on

              • Embittered entered in the beginners chase at Navan on Sunday, will be interesting to see if he can give that county form another boost if running.

                • I have to admit I’m intrigued to see how The Big Breakaway gets on tomorrow. I can’t recall seeing a big stable like the Tizzards being in such poor form with no explanation or reasoning and TBB has been quoted as being their most exciting prospect. Hopefully he’ll win and kick start their season???

                  • Ruby Walsh confirmed that Envoi had a wind operation during close season which is the reason he wore a tongue tie. He said that it is his one worry it could come back to haunt him. Wasn't aware of that.

Fully expect him to win comfortably tomorrow in view of how highly they rate him. Be disappointed if he didn't.

Hoping he'll be Joseph's number 1 Arkle dart . His County 3rd off a big weight makes very good reading now with Saint Roi starting off well and Aramon also franking the form. He also had Elusive Belle 2 places back , giving her a stone, and she previously ran 3rd behind Champion Hurdler Epatante. Very good form indeed. He's one of 9 I think that I've backed for the Arkle. 15pts in total which is a bit OTT for me but good to have him on board at a very generous 50/1.

Tizzards are currently running almost as bad as at the festival. He should win on hurdles form and ultimate potential but I’d not be touching him at odds on today. I am a huge fan of the horse though and I won’t be disheartened if he’s lacklustre today. I also have my head on the block with him as I made the below comment a few weeks back.

"Although Tizzard burnt me last season and I can't bring myself to back his horses ante post at present, The Big Breakaway is the one that is making me reconsider. Tizzard may not get him to Cheltenham in prime form but I have a feeling that he will put in the most impressive novice chase display at some point during the season. I think out of all the stayers, he's the one that will have the highest ceiling and if Tizzard can get it right, he'll win the GC in 2022 even if Envoi Allen runs. That's about as wild a statement that I make."

Good job I didn't write that JM. I'd have got my head torn off ! I do like him a lot as well. He was in the small group of horses I backed TWAR as soon as the Fez was over. I think he'll cruise around today and win nicely. Newbury is a beautiful place to start off.

He's a good horse. He chased home Envoi Allen in the Ballymore last season and that's good form. We're looking forward to seeing what he can do over fences and he stays well.
