Yeah, it's a long way before we need to start worrying about how he'll split the back, so as you rightly have alluded to, having two darts in the same race is logical (if you go mob handed this far out).

Personally I'll be gutted if Unexcepted is better than Elixir D'ainay by the time we get to Christmas, let alone March. I have however also backed Elixir D'ainay for the Marsh with free bets at 40/1 (and may do again) as it's not unreasonable that he'd end up there by any stretch.

    • Whether TBG runs or not, the yard will still have the winner anyway. Five O Clock. I read in OJA he’s developed the most of any horse in the Mullins yard.

I’ve just seen in the same book Joe Chalmers has him as his one to follow from the Rich Ricci horses and Ricci has him with Fly Smart as his two to follow from his horses as well.

Five O Clock and Patrick Mullins pinging the last on the bridle on the last race on the Tuesday lads. I can see it in the stars.

Some very good points and food for thought. If they all made it to the fez and were split then I couldn't see unexpected going in anything other than the Arkle.

You think Ricci will want to keep Monkfish and Five O’Clock separate?

Joe Chambers put up Hook Up last year.
Ricci might have put up Jon Snow and Fly Smart.

They definitely put up Annamix. Or was it Senewalk

                • Interesting Ruby said TBG was the speedier of the two between him and Monkfish, i think they will both turn up in the RSA rather than one be routed to the NHC. Sure the Donellys would rather have a chance in the RSA than the 4 miler

What makes you sure of that?

Might be true but dangerous to assume isn't it?

FWIW, I think they'll both be RSA bound if I had to guess at this stage too though.

better quality race? Successful in the RSA they could have a gold cup horse on their hands? Every national hunt owners dream isn't it.
