Hopefully he's working the house down and Gordon has had 7 figures on!! Pocket change for him these days!

          • He's a general 5/2 shot before racing over fences. Surely this is the shortest price a horse has ever been before tackling obstacles.

I'm actually getting tempted to lay him off at those prices.

Makes the horses behind him incredible value as a cover bet. Still think Chantry House is a great price.

I don't think I can remember a shorter priced novice (chaser or hurdler). Has there been one?
My first Cheltenham was 2005 (gwan Hardy, get up that hill son!!). Simonsig was 7/2 before his chase debut, Altior was similiar possibly 3/1 (i think). Dunguib for the supreme was bigger, i am sure of that. I really can't think of anything in my Cheltenham life-time.

I bet Douvan was pretty close?

Altior was still available at 5/1 before his chase debut.

Could be the slowest horse in training ? Getting left behind at most fences

It's less than 1 point to be fair

Not heard anything.... the suggestion the stable tours are a bit more wideley available is a potential reason?

Or the flat is coming to an end and they don't want any more bets on it at 3/1

I don't know, he was already a bit too short at 3/1 for us folk that've been looking at this market since March?

Tbf there’s not much more I’d like him covered in bar a few double and treble top ups but as a predominately Hills site user, I wouldn’t want to be including him at anything below 3/1 never mind the 9/4!

Just seems strange all bookies shortening the same day... there must be news or money down.. I can’t imagine that as the flats come to an end they’ve suddenly thought oh yeah we have a rather large hole with that envoi fella in 6 months we best shorten him

I think it'd be a bit more strategic than that, in that they'd get together as the NH Season is starting and make some decisions....and this Friday isn't that bizarre - they only have 6 races to focus on tomorrow anyway
