14's for Marsh as well. They must have been impressed.

      • Jumped left which isn't really a bad thing, and won nicely. 9yo slightly off putting. won't be jumping on the bandwagon yet.

Orrrrr there's not an awful lot to compare him with yet and they are being cautious. It is PP/Betfair after all.

@punchestownrace: “Gavin (Cromwell) can’t be here as he was in Newmarket for the Cesarewitch but he rang me and is delighted with that. He’ll probably come back here in a month’s time for the Grade 2 (Craddockstown) novice.”

...PP must’ve had a re-think as they’ve pushed Darver Star out to 14-1 for the Arkle, the same price they have it for the Marsh.

                      • D Star Jockey Keith Donaghue reckons he'll be a better horse over fences and that he may be better going up in trip.

Clearly no takers at 10/1. Not surprised as all the bigger odds have been snapped up by us lot !! No need for another bet

Don't believe (though could be wrong of course) the record from the Craddockstown to the festival is all that inspiring though.

                              • He wasn't jumping left by the end of the race. Gary O'Brien reckoned he was put off early by Conflated's jumping.

As for the price, he's a 160 rated hurdler who has beaten a 130 rated chaser by 18 lengths on his first outing. 10/1 seems fair enough when you consider that a 159 rated hurdler, who hasn't jumped a fence under rules but fell over hurdles, is 7/2.
