FD looked to travel much more settled today, he is going to be a really interesting recruit to novice chasing this season.
Jumped well enough for a novice, first time out, didn’t have to lead, he let the runner-up go past at one point.
I don’t think he looked a runaway on today’s evidence."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Interesting that Patrick Mullins actually name drops The Big Getaway as the one he hopes in the NH CHase ride.
Does also say he could easily end up in the RSA with Monkfish too though...
....and also goes on to SLAM Willie's campaigning of horses with regards to the NH Chase.
Join us as we get the low down on all the Closesutton stars form Champion Amateur Jockey, Patrick Mullins. From the exciting novice hurdlers to the duel Chel...

He's obviously over that nasty fall at Galway and at the very least this keeps him in the mix for the Arkle.
Great call at 40-1 Saxon. It's gonna be fun watching him (hopefully) progress.

I didnt say he fiddled his way all the way round. He was outjumped by the 2nd horse early on but improved as the pace picked up and the race went on, which is exactly what i wrote?

Felix D....
Kennedy said: “All he had to do was jump round really and he put in a brilliant round of jumping. He was a little bit long at the last down the back, but other than that he was brilliant.
“He is unbelievable over a fence so he’ll be exciting going back into better races again.”
Elliott, by telephone, added: “That was great and I’m delighted with him.
“There is a graded race next week, but that will come too soon and he will probably be aimed at the Craddockstown Novice Chase at Punchestown in November.”
