We'll all be covered in soap if the Envoi Allen bubble bursts on us.

I hope that lands, I feel like if either get defeated along the way, they wouldn't win in March anyway. Afterwards is a bit more of a gamble as they might experiment in trip (although wouldn't be a worry).

Did/could you get much on? It is a fun bet.

I cant ever get much on with Sky. I'll have to check but I think it's something like £8.64

I did see if but price has been cut. I'll just check.

*It's not there at the moment but NH requestabets aren't showing. Might be worth checking later in the day when they reappear.

The only thing is, they may well meet at some stage.

Or Fall, or Unseat Rider, or get Brought Down - like Shishkin did on his hurdling debut.

Im not too sure about that, not many irish and english horses travel over to eachother really! And i would take a guess saying that envoi will go the same route as samcro did this year..shsishkin wouldnt be coming over for them races..then at cheltenham you have the possibility of them meeting in the marsh of course but id doubt that again, then aintree id imagine after cheltenham if all goes well they will up envoi in trip maybe at punchestown..thats how id see it

...Envoi & Shishkin to go undefeated is 20-1 with Hills (4-1 and 3-1 if you want to back separately).

Horses do come back from dodgy years. But then Klassical Dream won't be the first supreme winner who looks good but then never runs up to that level of form again (e.g Ebaziyan, Cinders and Ashers and Labaik though i accept he has had less chance to run to that level). I also think he wants further but the ground will be more likely to be in his favour on the Tuesday than over the Marsh trip on Thursday and he may be put off by Envoi Allen. There is also that old Arkle cliche about needing to be a stayer yada yada yada.

If he bolts up first time out he'll be 12/1 not 25/1 (and possibly without beating anything) but I think I would like to see him win first time out to show the old sparkle remains. If i could back him now with cash out I 100% would but i cant.

I may wait and see if Gordy gives us any hints at the stable tour on EA going Marsh as this would definitively help keep him in the Arkle.

It is just whether I back him now at 25/1 or later (if he wins FTO) at half the price...

What are people's views on him as an Arkle horse?
I think there's also a small possibility he stays over hurdles too HE. He wouldn't be an inconceivable winner of the Champion Hurdle if he's over the issues he had last season. His Supreme performance is rated alongside Shishkin's. Albeit with a less troubled passage, but a tenuous line still puts him ahead of Abracadabras.

Having said all that I think Willie will start him at two miles over fences. They always thought of him as a future chaser, and after losing most of last season he needs to switch now or he'll be 8 the following season. The Marsh is a possibility but I think they'll only go up in trip if they have to and he isn't showing enough speed.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

                      • Navan in November is often the starting point for Willie's Arkle hopefuls.

Thanks Spectre. Yes, I suppose we don't definitively know he will be going over fences. He would be a dark horse in the stayers for me if Willie did keep him over hurdles. I think I will wait. In hindsight I should have built up a 1 ew of free bets for the Arkle but don't think I will have time now we live and learn.

Interesting horse whatever race he runs. You are right his supreme was visually very impressive, and the form has worked out alright, let's hope he is a better horse this year.

Thanks Archie. Good to know. They have two meetings in November - if it is the latter of the 2, I may be able to build up a point ew up of free bets.

It tends to be the second meeting where we've seen:
                              2014 Vautour
                              2015 Douvan
                              2016 Min

                              2019 Cash Back

                              The first meeting has seen:
                              2017 Footpad
                              2019 Melon
