Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Surprising they've not gone 3 miles yet.

Plenty of time. Rathvinden went on to run in Drinmore and then Flogas. Be interesting if Galvin goes same way

      • What do people think of elliots the very man..i thought hed be sent chasing he looks one that could relish a trip, but maybe he could be aimed at a handicap..i will be interested in seeing what they say about him
        In the stable tours

Be really interesting ! cos if he does, and doesn't place (first 4) in another chase over further than 2m 7 furlongs then he'll not qualify to run in the NH chase

In between the Drinmore and Flogas Rathvinden ran in 3 mile Neville Hotel . Forgot to post the most important bit !

He is also entered this weekend. Agree, he looks interesting. Handicap material for me.

                • Couldn't resist having a bit more on the Envoi/Shiskin double. 20/1 still looks too big. Could be around 2's come race time.

                  • Getting myself into a right pickle regarding Klassical Dream and the Arkle. I know I should get him onside. But he had a stinker last year and didn't look the same horse.

Horses do come back from dodgy years. But then Klassical Dream won't be the first supreme winner who looks good but then never runs up to that level of form again (e.g Ebaziyan, Cinders and Ashers and Labaik though i accept he has had less chance to run to that level). I also think he wants further but the ground will be more likely to be in his favour on the Tuesday than over the Marsh trip on Thursday and he may be put off by Envoi Allen. There is also that old Arkle cliche about needing to be a stayer yada yada yada.

If he bolts up first time out he'll be 12/1 not 25/1 (and possibly without beating anything) but I think I would like to see him win first time out to show the old sparkle remains. If i could back him now with cash out I 100% would but i cant.

I may wait and see if Gordy gives us any hints at the stable tour on EA going Marsh as this would definitively help keep him in the Arkle.

It is just whether I back him now at 25/1 or later (if he wins FTO) at half the price...

What are people's views on him as an Arkle horse?

                    • Only danger for getting a good run for your money is if they run envoi in rsa. Shiskin will have more comperition in an arkle than envoi in the Marsh imo

                        A 4/6 & 4/5 would give a 2/1 double so quite conceivable.

                        • That would mean they would go “undefeated” through the novice seasons so maybe if that bet is around for either or both that would be good

                          • I wouldnt be suprised at those prices if they look good a couple of times..ive covered the double at 25/1 with skybet, william hill with a boost give 22/1 i think

                            • I think if they’re undefeated on the eve of Cheltenham that’s about the prices they’ll go off at, and this I brought up 5 months ago.

The bookies are thinking the same, hence the very short ante post prices on both currently.

Could be a steal 6 months in advance. We’ll find out in the coming months!

I have 150/1 for them both to be undefeated which could be a fun bet for the season.
