Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

That is s very tempting price. He owes us for going missing last season.

      • Don't think Fusil Raffles will be an Arkle horse after that jumping was OK but looked like he wanted further.

        • He did stay on well to be fair to him so maybe he does want the intermediate. Hes 25s from 40s with PP for the Arkle though now

Yeah, I think further will be the plan myself too.

            • I was impressed, they seemed to go a really good gallop.
Long way to go for target guessing though, I reckon.

                Henderson loves a Grand Annual

                  Probably too good for that.
His sire has some really good rated chasers, over varying trips, as with many they tend to want further in time.

But if he disappoints in next couple or three runs then he could end up in a handicap I'm sure.

                  • The Marsh does seem to be the race where the most value can be had. Looking at the betting 4 of the 5 at the top of the betting are unlikely to run and Envoi could easily be 50/50 right now. I suppose the trouble with most is finding the ones that'll target this race. Other than Envoi the only horse I've covered so far is Chantry House. The other one that I like a lot is French Dynamite. Really big horse looks made for chasing won fto last season then was chucked in the lawlors on his second ever start and it was too much too soon. Won the time after that then ran a decent race in 4th behind Five O'clock. Having only had the 4 career runs and being a big horse there could be tonnes of improvement to come. The issue would be whether it's over further or not.

The double green love a horse in the Marsh, finished runner up at least three times (from memory only), although first time in a while they didn't have a runner in it the season just gone.

Fact that there seems to be talk of multiple targets on this thread suggests the any race price was the way forward, so glad I went that way for now.

                      • I’m glad Fusil won today and nice to read it was a good gallop. I didn’t watch the race but hoping to today at some point. I think he’ll be aimed at the Marsh, a popular race for the owners and they have a good record in it.

I think Marsh also ,cant argue with introduction.

Only slight negative is do we see festival winners in September.

Normally not no but I’m wondering if the plan was to try him over fences after Cheltenham before Covid shut racing down??

                            • Just seen Henderson say he was gonna target a hurdle race in mid October but he'd schooled well and was fit so thought he might as well crack on now.
