  • Run wild Fred out today, talk to me Lobos TWAR 14/1? Best price available to be for NHC is 16s (think he will end up there) Can get 25 RSA which is a possibility.

Not backed him. May do if 4 miler is plan. Can't see him winning an RSA. TWAR price is on the short side I'd say.

          • I've added Sempo @ 95's for the RSA and 33's for the NHC.

            • Run Wild Fred just ran out gas. I thought he did well there but he was taking off early on a number of fences but he jumped with lots of height, completely clearing them. I think Elliot said in his interview most of his horses need the run for fitness and it looks that way then. From what I can gather Limerick is one of the toughest courses in Ireland to race and RWF did well until the last furlong there.

              • Was a nice round of jumping from Eldorado Allen... until the last.

Nice to see him winning though.

                  Just backed him.
prices left up throughout the race so might as well.
                  He was very good, mostly.

It was a really good round of jumping bar the obvious error at the last. He’ll definitely win graded races, problem is Tizzards cheltenham festival form of late. At 33/1 worth a go though.

I liked Grand Sancy’s run yesterday as well, nice round of jumping as well. He won’t be a novice for the full season will he?

                      Don't think so.
                      He won in Feb.
Not sure on exact cut off date though.

No just until the end of Nov like Mcfab was in the Persian War, an angle many will use, second season novices effectively for two months taking on novices etc.

                        • I can't make my mind up on Eldorado Allen.

Fancied him in his Supreme year -he didn't turn up and even had a speculative Champion Hurdle bet on him for last season

Was his jumping today made to look even better because Stolen Silver was noteably bad next to him?

I backed him today, cos I could.
But he has looked a chaser since I first saw him, and he looked a chaser today too.
And I like a horse that plows through the last on a regular basis.
Definite type that could improve a stone for fences IMO.
In fact the form of today probably makes it his best run so far.
Even though it's early season stuff, we pretty much know the Nicholls horses are fit, especially the ones he's had from Willie, as he'd want to impress with those for sure.

Yeah that's true - I did type out something along the lines of 'is getting pushed along to beat Stormy Ireland Arkle winning form' but deleted it, as that would have been a poor point to make given your points above about Nicholls/fitness AND it would imply I don't think Eldorado Allen can improve from his chase debut, which also would have been stupid.

My issue now is I didn't take 33/1 as I wasn't watching, so now I can take 20/1 with cashout, 22/1 any race or 27/1 to win.
                              Or none.

He isn't priced up everywhere yet.

                                I'd leave it.
Glad you didn't say pushed along as when I watched it again it was to confirm that the home bend was the reason Power started to move on him, and it was just race riding, and handling the turn I reckon.
Then they raced to the last 2, as you'd expect. I think if he'd have winged the last and won like he looked like he was going to.
                                They'd have cut him more.
But I'd still only have him a 33-1 chance.
We'll have a better idea next time round - when they both run again.
