          • For anyone who didn’t watch From The Horses Mouth from Leopardstown this morning - Ruby was adamant The Big Getaway hadn’t shown them on the track what he shows them at home (even in the Ballymore). I’d definitely keep him on side where ever he turns up assuming he’ll come on again from today.

As for Asterion Forlonge - Mullins ran Getabird despite concerns of a left handed track. For me, AF hasn’t shown enough of his jumping right over fences to stop them from thinking about Cheltenham. His next run will be much more informative on that front. He was smashed off the boards vs Pencilfullofled in a manner where defeat wasn’t an option. If he impresses in his next run he’ll be on the boat imo.

Not as a novice chaser he didn't?

Getabird ran in the Supreme (like AF did) and didn't end up at Cheltenham.

I agree though, because he fell, next time out will decide whether he is on the boat or not.... I'd say there's no chance of his literaly next run being at Cheltenham.

                1) If Envoi turns up you are most likely playing for a place on all known form
                2) The horses being backed for the Marsh may not even show up and you'll either be scrambling to cash out or losing money

One of these races the Marsh this year for me if you have Envoi at decent odds / roll ups I would just leave alone at that. Personally don't see a need to go try find horses against him if you think he is the winner (which assume most do)
There can still be value to be had even with Envoi being head and shoulders above everyone.

16/1 still pays 11/10 the place pays better than EA for win only. You are one stone bruise away from EA missing out and wondering why you haven’t got 1 or 2 covered.

Every trainer isn’t just going to step aside and let a grade 1 at Cheltenham go to waste because EA is the chosen one.

                • My logic exactly - it’s the only race alongside the Arkle that I’ll be properly backing e/w. As much to pick up place money but also as cover in case one of the short priced favs gets injured and miss the festival

Something to think about though is the without the favourite markets which will be NRNB over the coming month or so. I think this is the best way to cover as you can still have a lively chance of the win.

Really good point. There’s some decent e/w value to be had in these market especially as you might see a small field turn up against the hotpots.

Agree but be careful, not every bookie permits e/wbets on the market, Sky don’t (or haven’t every time I’ve checked)

Yeah would assume everyone likely has Envoi at a lot higher than now though.

Was more the point we have no idea what’s turning up, everything in Willies is guesswork. Take Asterion for example I would say it’s unlikely he even goes over from what they have said a few times

Unless certain what was showing up I would think NRNB would be better waiting for in a race like the Marsh unless you can rely on cash out.

Me Too thought he stayed on well and was entitled to have needed the run with being off for so long

                              • Nice comeback ride that for Dickie Diver, he never looked like wanting to win but stayed on well at the end and did have a hard race.
