Anybody else got Big Getaway backed for the RSA and NHC but not the Marsh? Bit unsure what to do. Can cash all bets out and switch to Marsh, but don't want to make any hasty decisions and regret it later.

Really not sure if TBG would be able to go with EA as soon as his button is pressed. I think RSA or NHC on what i have seen today. PT will say 2 and half as he wants to ride both.

Exchanges were slow to react, so got some at decent odds......but he may go elsewhere

Worth doing the double with Monkfish as Ken mentioned.....still long odds

Think will depend where Willie’s hand is nearer March....he has some good options

Yep, in the exact same position. I haven't backed him for the marsh due to envoi, I see some people backing him as a back up but that's not really my style of play, I don't really see how he can beat envoi. Think he still needs to qualify for the 4 miler so based on his next entry you could look at cashing this bet out if you have that available. You also have monkfish running tomorrow which may influence what happens with TBG so I wouldn't make any rash decisions, still plenty of time to work this one out.

Yeah, I did an e/w double with Monkfish at 77.75/1 as nice cover.

I can't see Monkfish going anywhere else, so thought it might be a decent related bet.


You have to be happy for it to be a NR though, but better than just doing the single IMO, especially as Monkfish will run the day before so if he flopped and TBG was still running you could re-assess.

Essentially he'll be a fair price as he's got zero chance of being fav unless EA doesn't run.

Thanks for the advice, folks. Will definitely consider the Monkfish double, then keep an eye on future entries when it comes to cashing out the NHC bet. I'll probably look back at this and wonder why I fussed about it since I really don't see him beating Envoi, but like to have a couple of back ups just in case.

Haha yeah, I scrabled about and got him backed and essentially don't think he'll win... strange how you can forget things despite thinking about it all the time.

I am not too worried. Asterion Forlonge was cruising round before tipping up and I'd say if one of the Donnelly's was to take on EA it would be him and not TBG. Taking EA on with two would be madness IMO, and they have always seen TBG as a big staying chaser (at least that's what he was bought for).

Funny how post debut the rush was to say get TBG in the 4 miler

Energumene would look the ideal candidate to take on EA, since they have said he could run over any trip. Thats what im hoping anyway as ive only backed TBG for the rsa, I dont think he'd beat EA and I think he has too much class for the four miler and I wouldnt be sure he'd stay the trip anyway. Looks tailor made for the rsa to me so im hoping they dont start faffing about with the marsh.
