Yesterday, I had someone disagreeing and feeling the need to use phrases like 'stupid' and 'nonsense' in relation to an opinion and now this total overreaction. Coincidence?

In the interest of fairness, as it was me who used those two phrases.. your opinion was that Chacun last week ‘couldn’t have been any more unimpressive’. So I stand by my two phrases.

I thought he jumped brilliantly and did everything you would have wanted him to there. He's definitely back and with more improvement expected he should take high rank amongst the best 2 mile Novice Chasers. I very happy to have him in the book.

Just rewatched the race and it confirmed my initial thought that his jumping was good which led me to take the 25s with B365. Happy to have an increased stake in the book as we will know more when he faces stiffer competition as the proximity of Midnight Run today raises doubt although it was a further 28l back to the third.

Midnight Run gave another boost to Asterion Forlonges chase debut. Honestly think he might be the horse most able to give Envoi a race. Though I must admit it will probably have to be right handed with his jumping.

Just watched it now in replay and more than happy with CG. They might pass on DRF if they get a satisfactory result in Naas in January

He'd need a run somewhere though, wouldn't he? Not sure I like the thought of him going to Cheltenham on the back of two chase runs (ignoring his first run of season).

Losing 50 days between his mishap in October and now, it was always going to be a compromise between getting experience and not going to the well too often.

I dont think Court Maid has done her NHC chances any harm though. Having missed the boat, I am hoping the bookies don't cut on the back of that.
