Same, he is a horse i just dont get yet. Seems a horse who had excuses every time he lost until today obviously. See if he improves next time now before i consider back him i know he has a lot of fans on here though and you all cant be wrong

        • Much improved by Captain Guinness but still not convinced by him as a chaser.

He needs altar another easy assignment before they take on some of the better novices, imo

The second looked like he was going to give him a race but started hanging his head to the side under pressure

decent performance but nothing more imo

            • Looked like they went a good gallop though - will be interesting to see how it lines up on the clock

              • Agree with everyone was solid but not amazing didn't scream Arkle winner.

                • The bookies were surprisingly unimpressed with Captain Guinness’s victory there, he’s been pushed from 20’s to 25’s for the Arkle with B365. I don’t think I’ve seen a horse get pushed out in price after winning before??? I only caught the tale end of the race when CG got tight into the last but the commentator sounded like it was positive performance

                  • Ive surprised again...twice in an hour..... to note that Happy Go Lucky is not appearing in the RSA or NHC markets after winning a 3 mile chase at Cheltenham?? Very strange. Do you think he will be a handicap horse? I’ve got him covered TWAR but was happy with that run over 3 mile today and think he could go either RSA or NHC

It was heavy ground so not sure if that was his true running over 2 mile

                        Into 16’s now on 365

                        • Sounds like they'll skip Leopardstown at Christmas and potentially go to Naas in January. The race won by Cash Back last season.

                          • I thought he jumped brilliantly and did everything you would have wanted him to there. He's definitely back and with more improvement expected he should take high rank amongst the best 2 mile Novice Chasers. I very happy to have him in the book.

Then on to the DRF, then Arkle?

Or do you think theyll skip the DRF - notebook and Cashback looked to have a tough race at the DRF so whilst CG could definitely do with the experience, it wouldn't be the end of the world if he missed it.

He didn't mention it but I'd imagine that's the route they'll be plotting, HE.
