What did we learn though? AF can jump a fence and that he jumps right no matter what the obstacle is or if it’s a left or right handed track. Conflated looks a decent handicap chaser in the making. That’s pretty much it.

...thought Conflated ran well despite jumping a bit to the left. One to keep an eye on.

    • Agree with all of the above. Really like AF, tons of ability and will no doubt win plenty of races in ireland. But not a proposition for Cheltenham forr me. Conflated been on my watchlist since last year! Will be following him with interest.

      • AF will not be going to Cheltenham again thats for sure. Plenty of good prizes for him elsewhere.

        • As soon as the rail wasn’t there to help him Asterion Forlonge went right-handed.

The only reason he didn’t go right handed at every fence was because he was running at a right-hand track and the rail was on his right up to most fences.

I don’t see him coming anywhere near Cheltenham.

Punchestown and Fairyhouse would suit him, and if he comes over to the UK then he could run at Ascot and Kempton, but probably not Sandown as the rail disappears after the Pond Fence.

Conflated finished closer than I hoped he would. Win an ordinary maiden chase next time going left handed, then guard his handicap mark

            • Looking forward to this next race. 2 mile chases are the best thing in the sport. At the top end... which this isn't, but ya know.

              • After 3 jumps it’s clear that Felix Desjy needs to go Left Handed, he is veering left all the time.

                • He did well there, going the wrong way round for me, with his early jumping.

                  • Darver Star step up in trip incoming....

Felix Desjy pretty good to get the win. Will need to be better to win an Arkle, but still unbeaten.

                    Think that's all fair.

                    • That’s why Jack Kennedy will go all the way to the very top (if he isn’t already).

Brilliant judgement and bravery to let them go when he realised they’d gone too quick down the back straight.

Darver star needs a trip ASAP. Terrible run and didn’t jump fluently either.

Yes, Darver Star was slow there.

A step up wont get him into the Grade 1 winners enclosure at Cheltenham.

                        • FD needs to go left handed. I've backed him for the Arkle but I think they should target Aintree rather than Cheltenham.

Hoping they don't just go straight to Aintree with him.

                            • Gwannn felix ya beauty! Ground was probably soft enough there for FD so happy hes won under those conditions. Jack kennedy was brilliant there didnt panic when the other horse kicked before turning in and i think hes won with a bit in hand. Need to improve again to win the arkle but plenty to like i thought.

                              • Darver Star looked like he hated the ground to me. Even allowing for that, was a very disappointing run.
