I'd have Fusil as a lot shorter for the arkle.
The 25-1 skybet is a good price.
I agree. 27/1 starting to feel alright

      • Envoi is going to scare off so many horses

Id think the arkle and RSA fields will be much bigger than the marsh

Backed him any race a while back, I think at some point he'll go out in trip and should he perform to that level at further he'll be a solid Marsh alternative to Envoi Allen.

He could well go close in an Arkle too, but I can't imagine Nicky wanting to take Shishkin on with another of his.

Maybe, but more likely he'll be kept in both races until the very very last second so no one will know for sure

I kind of think that too.
But surely the owners will decide this one, and the retained jockey.
If he backs up his win at cheltenham with another win at 2 miles in November then they've got choices to make.
If all fit and well they take on Shishkin or Envoi ?
I know what I'd do at this stage.
                Tell Nicky to fuck himself.
To be fair he may like the idea of 2 cracks at the arkle anyway.

Yeah you may well be right. The owners have gone close multiple times in the Marsh without winning it. They've won the Arkle with Footpad, but from memory they have more runners in the Marsh than the Arkle. This may just be coincidence because of the horses they buy (a lot of Triumph/juveniles that end up going out in trip), or it could be by design.

                  • Whilst Nicki hasn't historically sent two down the Arkle route, I don't think he'd have a problem sending both Shishkin & Fusil Raffles there, if both prove good enough. Separate owners and with Envoi waiting in the Marsh, where's the incentive to go up with Fusils if he wins well next time out

It's unlikely they're trying to win the Marsh by design isn't it?

Footpad wouldn't have struggled to get the Marsh trip - I don't think it's anything more than a result of the types of horses they buy and a bit of coincedence.

He has literally named the target again today, and 365 have pushed him out to 8/1 despite winning for the RSA.

Time you got a proper bet on him isn't it instead of pansy any race

If anyone wants to lose their 365 account, you can take as much 8/1 as you can for the RSA, hold on to in until they go NRNB and cash out for a big profit when he gets slashed to about 2/1 (as aalowe is right, they will keep him entered desptie what he's saying) and take the pay day.

                        I'm not doing this, obviously

Oh no, probably not Kev. I think it's more down to coincidence but I put it out there anyway.
