Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Completely depends on what else is going for the race. If The BIg Getaway is aimed at the 4 miler then I'm pretty sure he'd end up fav. Likewise The Big Breakaway. Without someone like that, yes, Galvin would go off short.

Yeah not often I'd agree with single digits on a horse, especially in a novice chase but given there would only be possibly 1 horse rated higher if Mullins breaks up his 3m battalion (be very surprised if two were rated higher than Galvin now). It's getting hard to crab him and given he's not going to run more than once prior it's down to other horses to show they are better already.

But the point is as the first company to go NRNB they are forming a unique market, they don't need to offer any value as the risk is all theirs so it's irrelevant what else plans taking him on (as at 1 Jan) because Sky make nothing for whatever race Galvin doesn't run...

        • As Skybet are now in the PP/BFSB group, is it possible that their NRNB policy might be different this season?

I cant think of any others that might genuinely go here.

Could be. They haven't been consistent themselves over the few years anyway. I do have the NRNB thread from last year that was accurate so at least we have a bit of a guide for this year.

              • Lord royal could be another possible mullins contender, and maybe francin? I think the albert bartlett was a possible target for francin last season, so maybe it needs a trip if they decide to go chasing.

I'm hoping they can work back from the Kim Muir.

Lord Royal is staying over hurdles, I think.

That was always the fear, their offers focus on extra places and they still promote the RABs more than any bookie so for now at least they look like they're operating as they were previously.
I don't think the NRNB concession has ever had a defined timetable with any bookie so entirely possible it gets shunted around...

You really think he would stay that far FM? I thought the Albert Bartlett was a very poor decision at the time and I dont see anything to suggest he enjoyed the big step up in trip tbh? I would like to see him campaigned at 2 1/2m maximum myself. Id prefer the Grand Annual over the Kim Muir! He strikes me as a pacy horse with gears.

                        • The Wolf just won at Chepstow. I didn’t watch the race but was toying with adding him at 50/1 before the race after Olly Murphy’s other horse Skandiburg performed so poorly on his debut the other week. I wish I had added him as The Wolf is now 25/1. He finished 7th in last seasons Albert Bartlett but the trainer said after he wasn’t really ready but just wanted to see how he’d get on.

Was a very nice performance and looked a decent little Beginners Chase.

I think he'd comfortably stay the trip. Biggest problem would be keeping his mark below 145.
